Great Little Knife
I bought this knife 4 year ago, when I got it we had a serious illness in the family and I stuck it in a drawer and forgot all about it. Cleaning out the drawer last week, I found it and thought “What the heck, I will try it now.”Well, now I regret stashing it away It is a great knife. It it just a tad smaller and lighter than my other chef’s knives (I think that is why I bought it in the first place, to try the smaller knife.) Sharp, sharp, sharp. Easy to hold and feels nicely balanced to me. I like the handle, gives my arthritic hands a good grip. I cannot speak to how it will last over the years, but right now, I am using it every day. Nothing like a good knife that is sharp and fits your hand. Besides that, the price is right I have paid much more for a lesser quality knife

Awesome knife! Impressive quality for the price.
I am by no means a professional chef and I’ve never had the money to purchase expensive, fancy knives because I’m a financially independent college student living off scholarships and loans. That being said, as far as my personal knife experiences go this is one of the best knives I’ve ever used. I do a lot of cooking and chop large amounts of vegetables about 4 or 5 times a week. It responds very well to sharpening and it holds its edge quite well- significantly better than the other knives I have in my drawer! It cuts tomatoes without squishing them, slices onions without slipping off of them, and lets me easily get through butternut squash and turnips. Honestly for just under $14 this is an invaluable investment and it seems that a good, sharp knife makes cooking a lot less tedious. The light weight is nice and the shape of the handle keeps my hands from cramping when I’m chopping a large batch of sturdy veggies. The chef knife style blade is deep enough that I don’t have to worry about smooshing my knuckles into the cutting board, either. The plastic sheath also really came in handy when I was moving because I didn’t have to wrap it. It also lets me store it in the cutlery drawer without having to find a place for it in my knife holder. All in all, excellent knife and I will probably be ordering the other size knives from Zyliss as well because I like this one so much.

I love my first Zyliss Chef’s Knife, just like my second knife 4/5
I bought one of these knives in the store years ago and these knives really work well. I did not realize it at first, but they are hollow ground knife blades, and they initially were foreign to me so I resisted using it.When I started to use it, wow, did this knife cut, and it did not get dull. My best test is slicing tomatoes, and veggies, you know, generally all around chef stuff you need to cook something. What makes me a little confused is that now that I have ordered and received a second knife I don’t understand why it is not as sharp or does not cut as well as the older first knife? Both are acceptably sharp, but the new knife is not as sharp towards the tip of the blade. I never sharpened the original knife, by the way.I want to give Zyliss a 5/5 for all the years of service my original purchase gave me, and is still giving me, but I have to question their current quality control or manufacturing process. What happened Zyliss?Still both knives are great, and compared to some of the name brands and so-called premium brands, these are much less expensive, their handles fit better and they cut much better. My next purchase will be some smaller Zyliss knives, Ii really like them.I am going to rate this new knife 4/5 and take a point off for it not being as sharp as the original.Rated 4/5( I could use some pointers or information on what to use and how to sharpen these knives when they need it, which is not very often. )

Perfect Everyday Knife
This knife (as well as it’s 5.5-inch brother) is phenomenal! It’s very comfortable in the hand, and is an absolute joy to use. It comes razor sharp, and I expect it will hold that edge for a while. I’ve only owned this one for about a week, but I’ve used the smaller version at least once a day for almost a year. I’ll touch up the blade now and then, but it’s still very sharp and passes the tomato test with flying colors. The 5.5-inch version is great for small tasks and quick meal prep, but for larger quantities/items, this 7.5-inch knife is a real workhorse. It’s light and nimble, but also feels very solid. The sheath is a nice bonus as well, as I’m comfortable just throwing the knife in a drawer after washing it. Some people might not like that the blade is stamped and therefore lacks the hefty bolster of a forged blade, but it doesn’t bother me. The build quality on this knife is superb. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone on the fence or considering other similar knives.

Good knife value for money but victorinox chef knife is the best in stamped knife
