I have had this same knife for 25 years… used and loved it so much that we have finally sharpened the serration off of it. Just received this new one as a gift and it is awesome. Missing 2″
The knife performs as anticipated. So far nothing in the Pro S line has let me down. But, I feel I’m missing 2 inches of blade somewhere. Often the diameter of my homemade loaves exceed the practical length of the blade. I would have preferred a longer 10 inch blade. Unfortunately, I did not find one available in the Pro S series. I don’t plan to move away from the Pro S line. I’m sure there’s a 10″ blade available as it would only make sense. Great blade, just not quite enough of it.

Worth the extra money!
Being relegated to the house over the summer (like so many others have been), we took up the hobby of bread making. We were using a 5â serrated utility knife to cut our creations, but the blade wasnât long enough to make it through in a single batch. We bought the Henckels 8â Professional S bread knife to match our existing cutlery, and couldnât be more happy. Though a bit pricy compared to some others on the market, the build quality and feel in the hand makes the extra expense worth it. Iâm confident this knife will last us decades, just as the rest of our set has!

Great heft and feel in the hand. My 15-year old cheap bread knife had seen better days. I have always been a fan of Henckels knives. I bought this to match my existing set, which I have had for 20+ years. I expect this to last just as long. The knife feels great in the hand is slices through the crustiest of bread with ease.

Great Knives that will last many years
I bought these knives for my wife as a Christmas present and she absolutely loves them. She wonders how she got along without them before now. Very sharp and they stay sharp. Be careful, these are not knives for children to use in my opinion just because they are so sharp. Great Knives.

The Professional S bread knife, like the other knives in the collection, is very well made and easy to use. With all the knives, they arrive so sharp it takes some getting used to. Cuts very well but need to be careful. Expect many, many years of service from the knives.
