OK but not great
You get what you pay for. Adequate for routine sharpening and easy to use. But not whetstone results. Still, a lot less effort and time than using a whetstone. Seems to do a better job on Western knives than Japanese knives.

Iâm so happy with this sharpener! I had purchased a famous knife brand one which made my knives even duller (really strange :() so I returned that and got this one. This made even my cheap, 20 year old knives cut like brand new quality knives! I sharpened my old, cheap paring knives and then cut apples and tomatoes with them and it was like cutting through butter! I like that it has an Asian knife option since I just purchased a santoku knife. Itâs super easy to use with good, comfortable ergonomic design. Highly recommend!

Cut 31 Steaks First Time Ever – Works Great!
First time knife sharpener user and I like that this comes from a trusted brand in cutlery and that it had a good review on Forbes as to why I decided to buy it. I cut steaks with a breaking knife / scimitar at least once a month and really needed this sharpener to make the job easier. Last night I got more steaks cut from the same amount of roasts than I usually get, so am one happy customer! RECOMMEND

Great Sharpener
I have used these for years to keep my J.A. Henckels knife set in good shape. They do require replacing every few years but will keep your knives sharp and clean as they should be.

NOT a 4-stage sharpener, but rather two 2-stage sharpeners.
This sharpener has four slots, but they are for two different types of knife – course and fine for western knives, and course and fine for Asian (which have a narrower cutting angle). Call it “4-stage” is either deceptive advertising or a bad translation from whatever this is called in German.

Purchased this model last year and pleased with the results. The course and fine slots sharpened my dull knives with little effort. Decided to purchase another for Christmas to give. The model I received is not the same, all black. This one does not have the protective cover over the Asian slots and the handle is lacking the finger hole. I had expected the same Red and Black unit as pictured. There should have been a notation that this model could be substituted with similar. I hope it performs like the Red and Black unit.

Bought this as I have some Zwillling knifes and a Damascus knife that needs a different angle for sharpening. This means I can sharpen all my knives and seems to be great so far.
This is a sturdy piece of kit and stays still when you’re using it. Would recommend for anyone not yet ready to move onto whetstones, sharpening rods etc
