This paring knife was unexpected. It cuts food like an alligator. Let me explain.The cutting mechanism of this knife are micro teeth. But thatâs not the alligatorishness of this knife. The cutting action is alligator-like. Instead of slicing clean through food, this knife tears and yanks it. Good if you want to make mush of your food.The blade is very thick too. Makes it get stuck when cutting thick dense hard vegetables such as carrots. The blade is thick and strong, but lousy for cutting because itâs too thick.Best part of this knife is the handle. It has the perfect curve and shape that are comfortable in the hand. The barrel is flat-ish instead of round, so it does not rotate in your hand while slicing food.This was an unexpected Dud. I own several different Henckels knives, all a dream to use and lasts for decades. Not this with its thick blade + micro teeth. I do not recommend.

3 inch blade.I have NOT used the knife for the 1st time yet! The blade itself seems to be like a dream for its intended purpose, but the handle….Just holding it, the butt kept trying to go down when manuvering, which resulted in one of my fingers getting a little bite (really shallow, nothing serious)The handle is on the long side and the actual Butt is made of a thick piece of solid metal which adds a lot of weight to an already extra long handle for the size of the knife which makes it really unbalanced and not very light/maneuverable.Wanted to love it, but that handle…..
