The Zutto assortment is Zojirushi’s first assortment of merchandise that’s designed and developed as a collection of merchandise. The idea of the Zutto assortment was born on account of the collaboration between Zojirushi and an inside designer in Japan. In contrast to different Zojirushi merchandise, the bodily physique of the Zutto was designed first, then the internal know-how. Zutto (Zoot-tow), which means “all the time” in Japanese, is designed to be loved and used universally, for any event, anytime. This new Zutto Drip Espresso Maker is a handy 5 cup measurement.
Observe: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little espresso, or insufficiently tamping the grounds earlier than brewing can all result in insufficient stress for a correct brew. 2)You will need to be aware that the quantity of espresso extracted will differ relying on the grind measurement and quantity and reprogramming could also be wanted when the dimensions and quantity are adjusted

Best little pot and easy cleaning
Best thing about this little guy is that he runs water, not coffee. The grounds sit atop the pot so the machine never gets coffee oils and grounds built up.The water reservoir lifts out easily, and can be done under a cabinet. The lid and filter system is easy to use.Pro: Thereâs just one button: on/off.Con: You canât schedule your brew start.Option: You could get a simple digital timer for the pot. That would solve your on/off problem.Pro: Keep warm plate. Zutto recommends keeping coffee on plate max of 15 minutes to avoid coffee becoming bitter. Itâs a small pot, so it shouldnât sit too long.Con: No auto off switch.Option: See timer option above.Pro: Makes good coffee. They recommend 35g of ground coffee per potâyields about 30 oz. Thatâs two big American mugs or three average mugsâwe love that java jiveâso it goes faster than you might think. That is a bit strong for me, perfect for another family member.Con: Not the pot for heavy coffee drinkers or medium to large events. Ok for just a couple people.Option: Having to make smaller brews, you can try different coffees, whether flavors or grinds or exotic blends without making a huge commitment. The pot is a glass carafe. Zutto advises you to keep your thumb on the lid when you pour to ensure it doesnât slide off. Thatâs easily done.Note: as with any glass, donât put a hot carafe of coffee on a cold surface like a marble/granite countertop. Sudden temperature change can cause glass to break. To clean:Dump the filter and grounds into trash, and give the pot and lid a quick wash. Boom! Youâre finished. If youâre looking for a compact machine for small service, Zutto is your guy.

So much better
So much better than my last coffee maker. The whole thing comes apart so you can get it clean. Makes enough coffee for 2 large cups, or 5 small ones. Pours easily. Small footprint, Quiet, and attractive. Love the removable water reservoir. My coffee tastes better. Be sure to read the owners manual. There are lots of tips in it, related to safety and not overfilling it. Very well designed.

Good coffee
I bought this drip coffee maker after America’s Test Kitchen recommended it due to the HOT water temp of 195-200 degrees when it drips over the grounds. It does make a good cup of coffee! I cut down on my coffee consumption this year (from 3 big 24 oz mugs/day to just 20-24 oz/day) and both my old 12 cup percolator and an old 10 cup drip coffee maker stopped working in the same month…so I needed something. I thought this small coffee maker would be just right now that I am not drinking as much coffee. I like that the water chamber comes out for easy filling or cleaning. This coffee maker makes 20 ounces of coffee per full “5 cup” pot and it is ready to drink in less than 10 min. The glass carafe feels thin and fragile so handle with care. The unit is sleek looking and petite. My OXO burr grinder towers over it as they are next to each other on the counter. One has to remember to turn off the unit after making coffee. I don’t use the warming plate under the carafe since the entire carafe pours into one big mug, so that is automatic for me. I only give 4 stars because “5 cups” should be 30 ounces, not a mere 20. And the glass carafe could be more substantial. Other than that it is an attractive unit and produces good hot coffee.Update Dec 10, 2024 So after making one pot of coffee per day for 6-7 weeks, my coffee maker was getting slow and noisy. The little filter at the drip area is clogged with calcium and white sediment. I You can unscrew this filter part to replace it at extra cost….~$10. This would be expensive if I had to replace the filter every 6-8 weeks! I pried the filter piece open with a tiny screwdriver and washed out the 1.5 inch X 1.5 inch square of thin filter material. I decided to put the filter piece back together without the little square of filter material in the middle. I gave the coffee maker a descaling treatment with Urnex Dezcal descaling powder and the coffee brews quickly and quietly again. I don’t think this extra bit of filter material makes a big difference. of course I do use a paper filter for my grounds and that will catch any hard water sediment…. the coffee tastes the same without it.

Best brew by very slowly running water over a cone filter, and best for easy-thorough cleaning
The best small pot coffee machine, for two reasons. First, to my delight, it runs the water very slowly over the cone filter, which is best for getting the maximum flavor from the coffee. It takes noticeably longer than other similar sized machines, but it’s worth it. It’s a little like the “strong” button on other machines, which slow down the process, but this one slows it down way more. The result is you have the choice of getting stronger coffee, or use less ground coffee to get just as strong as other machines, and better taste. The other reason this is the best machine, is everything that needs cleaning comes with you in the pot. This is better for carrying it to the trash to dispose of the filter and grounds, and taking it to the sink for washing all the parts. Then everything can be wiped dry with a paper towel, because all surfaces are exposed, and the glass container has a very wide opening, so even a large hand can wipe inside it.As soon as the brewing is complete, I pour the coffee into a thermal carafe or thermal mug with a lid, to keep it hot without leaving it on the burner, and this allows me to immediately clean and dry everything. If you haven’t used a thermal mug or carafe, it’s way better for preserving the best flavor than leaving the pot on a burner.I’m very happy with this machine.

I been very picky with coffee makers. We just moved to new place and I was dreaming about good coffee maker. I like my coffee to taste good, and be hot, so I was very particular about my pick. Few things that were important for me when looking for new coffee maker were: size, simplicity, nice design, good ratings, great coffee. After weeks of searching I end up getting Zojirushi. The price is good, size is great, very compact and super easy to clean. The coffee is fantastic, hot, and brewed quickly. Please note that 5-cup is really 2 mugs. I wish it was 4 mugs instead but ah well, can’t have it all. At the end of the day, when I pour 2 cups, I usually start another pot of coffee, since myself and my bf like to drink 2 large cups in the morning. So far the coffee maker is great, and it meets all my expectations. I noticed few people commenting about less amount of coffee used with this particular model, and I must agree. Coffee comes out strong and very flavourful, so you can get away with putting less in.Over all, great product, beautiful design, fantastic coffee.Future improvement? I would love to see automatic switch-off function, but that’s about it 🙂

The Zutto makes coffee as good and hot as a drip can. It is compact, well built, cleverly designed, and has a very effective heating element. The unit eliminates the flavour deficit so many other drips have making small quantities and you enjoy a first rate cup of hot coffee. You may taste the full flavour spectrum of your blend for the first time. The great design of the unit completely separates the water heating function from the coffee making function. Consequently, the Zuto is so much easier to clean and to stay that way. This, together with the removeable reservoir and good quality plastics support my strong recommendation. I expect my little friend to keep putting out hot delicious coffee for a very long time and will shop the Zojirishi brand again.

Buena cafetera. El café más corriente sabe mejor con esta cafetera. Es básica. Solo pones el café , el agua y lo prendes. El único inconveniente es comprar los filtros. 9/10

I have a small kitchen and I only drink one large cup of coffee a day, hence buying a small coffee maker. I did a lot of research and this is the one I chose but I’d like to pass along my thoughts on this product.Pros: Makes pretty good coffee; it’s nice and compact, simple to use and easy to clean. It doesn’t drip when pouring. I also like that it’s not black. Cons: It doesn’t fit a regular sized (#2) coffee filter. You have to fold it up or cut off the top. This is really annoying. It is very light weight. Since I am not using it for travel this is a con. They could have used a little heavier duty plastic, particularly on the top and the lid. It feels flimsy. This is not a cheap coffee maker either. The carafe is also very thin so I am very careful when washing. There is a warning not to put it on a cold surface when it’s hot. The other thing don’t like is the carbon filter that needs replacing occasionally. These are also not cheap and a bit of a money grab. I considered returning this item but after doing more research I don’t really think there is anything better out there for the price so I will be keeping it.
