Ok, so my purchase was as a gag gift for my brother who cut the end of his thumb off with a regular knife! (I’m that kind of a brother!) That said, I knew of these knives from my grandkids who have them to “help” in the kitchen. They do work albeit less efficiently and don’t seem to cut the skin so are pretty safe for kids who want to “help” out.

My son is 5 and loves to help me in the kitchen. Of course I donât let him use a knife but his favorite thing to do is cut the veggies and potatoâs (with a butter knife) but at times he gets frustrated cause the butter knife is so dull he has to saw through it . These have just made him the happiest the pride he has in himself for cutting up dinner veggies is so heart warming. They are sharp enough to cut potatoâs but donât cut your skin they have zig zag type edges. The apple peeler peels the potato easily but donât have a blade so I donât have to worry. Itâs the perfect set for your little one to help and feel accomplished. Great size and they are thick plastic they are very durable and donât bend.
