Just what I wanted
This knife is perfect for my needs, which is in the home kitchen. it is Sharp, has good steel, and the wooden handle feels great in the hand. I tried, and didnât like the clunky feel and sharp edges of the synthetic handle material. As for the blade, itâs a Wüsthof! What more needs to be said? Overall very pleased with the knife and the cost was worth it for me.

Disappointed
I own dozens of Wusthof knives. I received this one as a gift. The blade feels like Wusthof quality.. but the handle flat out sucks. When I first opened it, it was gorgeous. But after using it and then hand washing it, it is just unfinished wood. My fear is that after some time I will have to have this handle redone. Iâm ok paying money for knives if they are worth it. I donât understand the pricing of the 8â chef compared to all of the others in this line. In my opinion, spend the money on the classic ikon, way better quality at a better price!

Small defect in handle
Beautiful tool. There is a area at the junction between the handle and the bolster that has some kind of metal filler that is not smooth. The attention to detail otherwise is great only this part bothers me

dissapointed
Received this 3.5″ Crafter paring knife Through Amazon. It’s exactly as described except that the blade will not hold and edge. Was nice and sharp out of the box. But this didn’t last. First time using knife and the edge was dull. Easy enough to touch up with a steel or strop, but clearly when they say high carbon steel that’s marketing talking. Won’t hold an edge for a minute. If you chop on a block or cut on a plate forget it.So I called the US Wusthof distributor and was informed that limited lifetime warranty covers defects only. End of story. I asked about the quality of the steel and they pretty much had nothing to say. I asked about how I could verify the hardness of the steel (It’s supposed to be Rockwell 58 hardness). No idea. I asked if Wusthof had the ability to check hardness of the steel. Didn’t know.So if you’re not happy with your Wusthof knife too bad. Can’t help you. Buyer beware. You’ll never get your money back on a Wusthof knife. Best you could hope for would be to exchange for another. This will be the last Wusthof knife I’ll own.

Typical Wustoff. Excellent. I own a few. Bought this one for my mom and husband. They love it. There was blood getting it out of the packaging, but sharp is good. My mom loves that things don’t stick to it.

Nice knife, it comes well packaged with tip protection. the blade is straight and relatively sharp but not razor sharp look like great workmanship on the blad but upon close inspection the knifes handle has not been fished off very well, the wood handle is open grain making it feel rough and unfinished with small splints sticking out fortunately I work with wood so I used a 3/1 beeswax and mineral oil mix and buffed it into the wood to give it a nice smooth finish and a tacky feel but at this price point i shouldn’t have to be doing that yet ð¤

Really good knife beautiful presentation. So good i am scared to use it . The oak wood and brass rivets reminds you of how good knives used to be made.
