Making bacon
Love the fact you can wrap lower drip tray with foil and throw away the bacon grease! Heats evenly and my bacon is perfectly crisp. Set at 300° clean up is a breeze.

Easy to clean!
This is hands down one of the best investments we made. The combination flat top and grill is convenient. Does a fabulous job. However, the best part of all is how easy it is to clean. Food and grease slide right off. The drip tray and base are separate, so you can throw those in the sink and clean them easily as well. No scraping necessary. Just hot water and soap is all that is needed.

Best griddle I have owned
This griddle is flawless, although it didn’t start out that way. The first one I received was defective, and did not heat up at all, but that’s what warranties are for. The seller was very responsive and made the return and replacement very easy. The second one was perfect, and for those reasons I did not ding them on the rating. I love the size of the griddle and the heat distribution is very even. It heats up quickly and cooks perfectly. Last night I made BLT’s and cooked up 8 slices of bacon at the same time. All of them cooked quickly and evenly. I left the cleanup until this morning and it was an easy chore. This unit splits into 4 pieces: the removable power cord, the cook top, the grease catcher and the base. This makes cleanup a snap. The cook top drains well and the grease catcher did not lose a drop of grease. I really can’t say anything bad about this griddle. Thank you Wolfgang Puck for such a well thought out quality product. It is definitely worth the money I spent.

YOU WILL LOVE THIS, SO STOP LOOKING AND BUY IT!!!
First off, introduction. I’m just an ordinary Joe Schmuck. I don’t work for, nor stand to profit from W.P. nor Amazon nor anyone else for this review. So, I’m probably wasting my time writing something none of you will see unless you click ‘find this helpful’. (I’d sure like to know!) I’m no salesman! And I’m not paying to promote this review.This IS the BEST electric griddle out there and WILL last you decades, if you take good care of and use it as instructed. I’ve had since December ’23 (this review is April ’24) and convinced of it. I use and abuse this thing (your imagination does you no justice); take good care of it; and it’s still looking and operating like brand new out of the box. I even put it back in the box for storage after clean and dry – I just saved the plastic and foam!My only point of contention is there’s a drip pan underneath that MUST cool completely before attempting to remove and drain. So that definitely limits me to cooking for more than 4-6 people. But that is exactly what this was designed for… not an entire Army. The thing must be level and the drip pan sitting correctly or grease ends up all over the place. If, like me, you’d miss re-using the grease right away as with other electric griddles, that’s easily mitigated by properly storing it for future use.This griddle cooks the most evenly of any home-use electric griddle on the market…even that cheap Chineseum ‘Blackstone’ knock-off electric one (and is WAY more durable and easier to clean). OMG, what a failure that was. But let’s not talk about that here. It’s WAY better and more durable than that horrible looking DASH one I’m seeing people experience living nightmares over.The heating elements are built INTO the center of this griddle and cooks fairly evenly, although one side is a little warmer than the other (as to be expected with any electric griddle). It is two-sided with one side flat and the other more like a grill. It is heavy duty, very durable, and drains well when level. I wouldn’t recommend throwing, dropping, or taking a baseball bat to it. And it even comes with a handy cleaning tool, which works well.When used as directed, this is very safe, excellent, and will NOT disappoint…at all! I use mine on a covered stove top so I can use the overhead vent for the smoke. It even conjures up positive feedback when cooking lightly for a crowd!Maybe it’s just me, but I do kinda wish it included a lid of some sort, making clean up afterwards a little easier, maybe. I dunno, that doesn’t seem very popular in these type of griddles.Pictures are from a typical weekend breakfast, which is what I mostly use it for, but the possibilities are indeed endless! I LOVE the way my home style pancakes (little oil on the pan) cook on it – no dark lines running through! Bacon is perfect! I wish I’d’ve shown the omelette I made…came out flawless.All I can say is stop doubting and buy it! You will not regret it! W.P. is a known brand and this should definitely add to your cooking repertoire!

Great multi-functional grill!
I have been using this grill nearly everyday since late July and have been impressed so far with the results I’ve been getting. First let’s start with the basics:- 1800-watt reversible grill/griddle- 207-square-inch cooking surface (18″ x 11.75″)- Adjustable temperature control (up to 400 degrees F)- Nonstick surface for effortless food release (Keep it safe and DON’T USE METAL UTENSILS)- Dishwasher Safe (I’ve never tried this and never will due to the possibility of damaging the heating element)- Comes with a plastic grill/griddle scraper- Comes with a mini cookbook/cooking guide to help you with various types of meats and veggiesI’ve mostly grilled boneless chicken breasts on this thing, but I’ve also done pork chops, salmon steaks, 1/4 lb burgers, and New York strips on this thing. They have all come out fabulous, but the one thing that really impressed me the most was that I was able to do a full rack of baby back ribs on this thing. I was hosting a party and already had two full racks in the charcoal grill outside, so I decided to give this thing a try in making barbecued ribs. Aside from slight differences in the texture of the meat (due to the differences in the cooking methods), my guests thought they were just as delicious as the two racks grilled on the charcoal grill. The meat was still pretty tender, and ripped right off the bone. After getting positive feedback on the ribs I’d done on this grill, I figured this thing can probably handle almost anything.To clean it, you use the scrapers provided to get rid of any burned chunks stuck on the grill, then use dish detergent and a soft sponge. Dry with a paper towel(s). I use terry towels so I don’t waste so much paper. The manual states that the grill plate is dishwasher safe, but since the heating element is also connected to the grill plate, I don’t want to take that chance and ruin the grill (Remember: Generally water and appliances is a HUGE NO-NO)If there’s one flaw in this grill, it’s that the drip channels are very small and only on one side of the grill. This means a lot of the grease and fat will just collect on the grill itself and not fall into the drip tray unless you force it manually. Of course I do understand since this is a double sided grill/griddle, they can’t just put holes all over the thing otherwise the griddle wouldn’t be a griddle anymore.I suggest getting these two silicon utensils to supplement the grill.
