WOW
Received the knife yesterday and I am impressed! I cut a homemade bun for a hamburger, worked great. I’ve been using an old bread knife that needed replaced. Then I got lazy and decided to use it to cut a slice of tomato instead of getting out my tomato knife. WOW, slipped right through the tomato making a perfect slice. I’m old and cut crooked. This knife cut the bread and the tomato evenly, not lopsided. No buyers remorse here.

really nice knife
Winco knives, mainly sold at my favorite restaurant supply stores, and here on amazon, are an excellent buy. Forged stainless, full tang knives. Waterproof handle bolsters. I have been changing the blade edge angle to 15 degrees with the Chef’s Choice sharpener, but even as it comes with the 20 degree it is sharp, sturdy, nice to hold. I have gradually replaced my knives to Winco – boning, slicing, chef’s (8 inch and 10 inch) and bread knife. In our cooking class, Chef borrowed my chef’s knife, and remarked on its sharpness and handling. Save your money for some other cooking stuff, by buying these very reasonably priced knives.

Decent, inexpensive bread knife
This bread knife has a nice (sof-tek) handle that fits the palm comfortably. The blade is semi-stiff. The construction is stamped, not forged. The serrations are large, which is a plus if you intend to hand sharpen when it gets dull. For the price, which is excellent, it would be easier to order a new one. This is not a screaming sharp bread knife or a presentation piece, but an excellent value for the money. It will cut through very crusty bread with a little effort, but there are bread knives out there that will bite faster into a very hard crust. The curve of the blade does help to keep the hand above the surface of the cutting board. Remember to saw 90% and only push down 10% or so, and the cutting will get easier.

Perfect bread knife
It does what it is supposed to do. Slices bread easily and Percy shaped handle. Serrated so my family use it for other vegetables.

Really like this knife!
This knife is great for slicing up my wife’s home made sourdough. The offset on the handle allows you to apply pressure where needed to get a clean slice.

Not impressed
Not what I am used to

Of all my knives I use this one the least. I guess I buy bread very seldom. However, the quality of this one is great. If I’ve used it more than once or twice over the past year I probably would have given it 5.
