Resteraunt quality knife that holds the sharpness as long as it’s maintained correctly
People think professional chefs use expensive knives, and some do. But this is a go-to knife in most kitchens and can handle daily use. Like any blade, you need to keep it straight. The steel rod is not to sharpen – it’s to straighten. Stones sharpen. This only needs a few passes on the rod daily to keep its edge perfect.

Sharp
Knife has good balance and fits in your hand very well. I use it on mainly vegetables but I’m going to try slicing a roast soon. More information on that to follow.

Covers many basic slicing duties
Though inexpensive, I’ve had good luck with all Winco/Stahl cutlery. The scalloped/Granton blade helps a little bit with lessening sticking of sliced items. The handle is a bit bulkier than average, so those with small hands might not find it to be the most comfortable.

Restaurant Quality
Seriously sharp and a serious value, this knife is an unpretentious but high quality kitchen tool. The handle is large and therefore comfortable for large-ish hands but probably somewhat unwieldy for smaller ones. Reminds me of Mercer knives in the sense that it isnât as fancy as some of the high-end German and Japanese knives, but it does its job as well as any of its competitors. I highly recommend it as an excellent value.
