West bend slow cookers
The last two West Bend slow cookers with Teflon coated inside only lasted about a year because of the Teflon peeling. I have never put the pots in the dishwasher so we canât blame it on that. The last 2 slow cookers were oval shaped. The two I had before those had rectangle shaped pots and I never had problems with the Teflon coating. I paid around $100 for the two I had issues with and they came from ACE Hardware. I love these Westbend slow cookers and have used them over 40 years. I hope you never discontinue them! They are getting hard to find in the stores – had to order it from Amazon and it was shipped from a Bed, Bath, and Beyond store. Why BB&B donât display them in their stores is beyond me.

Its a piece of JUNK! Coating peeling after 2 uses and i’m out $88.70!
Don’t buy it! After two uses the coating came off the and the seller refuses to return it! TK SHIP due to return time limit. it was purchased April 19 2019 and slow shipped over a week to ship and recieve, return claim denied end of May 31 2019. Its not like you get it and immediately use it daily. Think about that if purchasing anything from this seller. I recently purchased this for my mother who is 80 years old. Who decided an upgrade was needed due to the outdated Teflon coating and recent health news surrounding it. I bought this thinking that the quality I came to know from the West bend slow cookers she and my grandmother used for over forty years that still work would be the same. I was disappointed to find out that It is not. The coating is peeling off after just two uses. That can and will get into the food and also cause who knows what health problems. No abrasives or chemicals were used on it just dish soap and warm water. I will now take this up with manufacturer. I rarely give a negative review but this deserves it and so does the slow shipper!

Cooked great
I used it the first night we got it, made a great stew. The only issue I have is that it is a dial for your temperature control instead of a digital one like my old one. It will take some getting used to and a magnifying glass because it is pretty small for old eyes.

Runs extremely hot, but a nice cooker.
This will be my 3rd or 4th Westbend cooker. My last one had gotten to the point where you had to put it on high to get the recipe to a boil. This new one, on the lowest setting of warm, it boils quite hard. It does seem way hot for a slow to medium length cooker. Love the new shape similar to the very first one I had and the base is quite nice too. Have never used as a griddle though, which is why it may get quite hot. I really like this cooker, just wish it would have a low, simmer setting vs hard boil.

Not the greatest!
When I received it, the base was cracked. Most slow cooker go to warm automatically when the time cook is done…this one does not. It has up and down buttons, but the down button doesn’t work. I have been eyeing this small appliance and am just so disappointed.

Slow cooker
I used it on stove and then put it on base. It was just like described. Then I put it on warm that made the food stay warm while we where needing to use it. LOVE THIS ALOT.

Interior of pot started coming off after one use.
The temperature control was very good. The bottom of the pot which was supposed to be covered in teflon came off and rusted after just one use. I used the plastic utensils and it did not matter.
