Keeps crust from burning
I always use a protective shield when making anything with a crust. These were perfect for the 6″mini ceramic pie pans I bought at the same time. They work great, especially when a crust is blind baked, then needs to go back in the oven to cook the filling. These prevent the edges of your crust from burning.
