Carbon steel wok best for gas not electric
I have an electric burner and while it works good for frying pans, not as well for woks.I think they need gas for more heat distribution and control.This works okay on my electric stove.The build quality is amazing. Strong steel and the handle is sturdy and made of wood.The looks is stylish and functional. Love the lid and it comes with a sponge and cloth to clean.Works good on the small stur fry I make but will need to use my gas grill burner to get my moneys worth.

The packaging of the product is very good, and the instruction manual of the product is also very detailed.but After seasoning wok. Before use. come out two spot. There’s no way to wash it off. hope this will not affect the use and not affect health.

Non sticky, light weight, easy to use daily
It feels great to use a steel spatula for stir-frying in a deep pot again! After seasoning it with oil, the surface isnât sticky. I havenât tried frying an egg with few oil yet, but I recently stir fried fish with minimum, and it didnât stick at all.I really love this deep potâit makes stirring so effortless without worrying about food flying out, unlike most narrow pots! The best part is the steel spatula works way better than any other silicon or wooden ones.

This wok is exactly as pictured and described- it seasons well and works great. My only problem with this wok is that it’s thin enough that it bends pretty easily. I with it were a little thicker/more sturdy, but aside from that, it works really well. I’ve made a few really good meals so far, and I’m pretty happy with this wok.

Gorgeous Wok!
Wow, this is impressive! Out of the box I was blown away. It looks so pretty! When I heated up the stove this thing was really well balanced and heated evenly (FYI I have a gas stove). The construction feels solid and it cleans up really nicely. Looks great hanging out on top of the stove. It didn’t feel overly heavy as some Woks can (for our wedding we received a cast iron wok and used it maybe once just due to the weight), and it was great for sautéing veggies and meat.I really appreciated that it came with a really nice lid as well as a sponge and cloth to clean the Wok with.

This review is for the WANGYUANJI Iron Wok 12inches,Wooden Handle Chinese Iron Pot Carbon Steel Wok.How happy I am to give an appreciative review for the WANGYUANJI wok. I have three other woks, all of which are good. Two are stainless steel, one is cast iron. The WANGYUANJI is carbon steel. Previously I’ve had bad experiences with carbon steel cookware rusting. So far rusting has not been an issue with the WANGYUANJI wok.Another consideration is that the WANGYUANJI wok for its size is very light. While beautiful, my cast iron wok is seldom used. I am old and I just can’t wrestle it. I have no problem lifting the WANGYUANJI. Plus the WANGYUANJI cooks well. The steel is thin and heats quickly. Really a joy to use.The WANGYUANJI handle is easily detachable, yet sturdy when attached. I seasoned the WANGYUANJI according to instructions. After cooking I simply wipe the wok. So far no need to wash.The WANGYUANJI wok far exceeds my expectations. Recommended. Six stars!

Wowzers!!
First of all, anyone who is a package snob, you will be totally impressed with this wok! The lid and the pot come in, let’s say individual dust bags! I would have given 5 stars just for the packaging, I am that impressed. I was so excited to use this wok and did not read the instructions. You are supposed to season it before using it-I didn’t. But my meal was amazing anyway. I will season it before I use it next time. It even comes with its own sponge to wash it. If you are in the market for a wok, this is the one!!
