Best Silverware I’ve Ever Bought
I’m always skeptical to buy silverware online. I like to go into the store and bend the fork tongs and spoons back to see if they will hold up to everyday use. These are great, though. The patterns are elegant. None of the forks have bent. The spoons hold up to the ice cream challenge. The serving set is an added bonus. And weight is just right. I was a little worried that they would be too large and heavy, but they feel like a quality set that is fine for everyday use.My only complaint is that they’re the larger European size. The forks are REALLY big. One is long and thin and the other is short and wide. So there really isn’t a difference between the two of them in terms of size. I think that I’m going to buy another set of smaller salad forks. There are enough patterns that I don’t think that anyone would notice if you incorporated in a similar quality set. It’s also always a problem when you lose a piece or need a serving utensil that is either discontinued or not carried by the line. These already have different patterns with each piece, so you could easily add or supplement similar tableware without anyone noticing that you were replacing or combining patterns. I like that in terms of longevity of the flatware. On the left of the photo there is a Continental silverware fork (courtesy of my mother-in-law, whose silverware is often used and broken by children). You can immediately see the difference in both the size and quality of the two forks on the right.

so elegant, classy and eclectic
i have lived in my home for about seven years now and i’m STILL building up a “grown up” collection. you know, real cotton sheets, real dishes, real drawers, real linens as opposed to the collegiate first-time-on-your-own-so-your-parents-took-you-to-ikea cheapo collection. i’ve been looking for something elegant and old fashioned but eclectic and most if not all silverware collections, new and old, have the same designs for all the pieces. i get it, its the “grown up” thing to want your silverware to match. whatever.so this was it. it is PERFECT. its old timey, its historic, its fancy and classy, but it has just a touch of eclectic chic that i can add in other pieces if i want or need to. the servingware is a really nice addition and honestly, i do love that it came with extra teaspoons (how did you know that i go through a ton of spoons!). everything feels heavy and solid. its all sized bigger than the old cheapo sad silverware which makes me feel like i’m at my rich family’s house instead of an apartment. all in all, very nice so far!

Excellent Cuttlery
This is the third set of Wallace cutlery I’ve purchased in recent years. The individual pieces are a generous size, the traditional design is ideal for an attractive setting, it’s good quality, and the serrated knives cut really well.My only criticism: I didn’t really need 12 place settings with so many extra teaspoons and soup spoons I would have preferred 8 place settings with the usual hostess set (meat fork, pierced spoon, tablespoon and butter spreader)

Exquisite flatware
Be different and eclectic with the only flatware set available that has different patterns within the same set. These have beautifully detailed designs that have historical significance, as explained on the box, which makes them very special. They are substantially weighted and slightly oversized, so there is definitely a heightened aesthetic when you use them. I would suggest hand washing to keep them in pristine condition, although they are dishwasher safe. For formal or everyday use, they add extraordinary style to an ordinary table setting. It amazes me that something this unique is priced so well. I highly recommend this elegant and stylish set. CAVEAT: The set you receive should have âWALLACE 18/10â stamped on all flatware except on the knives. If your set has the âWALLACE CHINAâ stamp, send it back. It is vastly inferior in weight and detailing as well as having hollow rounded handles on the knives. They look and feel cheap. So this review pertains ONLY to the âWALLACE 18/10â set without the âWALLACE CHINAâ stamp. I purchased my set directly from Amazon and itâs the proper set. Adding to the experience, Amazon shipped the set quickly. It arrived packaged in a beautiful outer box with each utensil individually wrapped.

Hefty and good quality
I’m so picky about silverware and I do like this set a lot. They’re heavy and solid, and I like that it came with extra serving utensils. My two small gripes would be: 1. The smaller fork is really wide, it’s a little odd 2. I liked that these were mismatched – I never would have bought them if they were just one design and looking old fashioned, I thought the variety would make them a little more fun. Though I didn’t really think about how little that’s noticeable, especially if you’re just using one or two of them. So they kind of just end up looking like boring nice silverware.

I havent started using it but arrived in good condition. The quality seems to be good and nicely balanced spoon and knives (bit longer though). I will provide update once I have used it couple of times. The forks have some stains after few washes. This is not a good sign of good cutlery. Given the price I have paid it does seems to be a good bargain.I will not recommend it to anyone

Love this set!!! Iâve washed them over a dozen times and itâs like they are brand new. This set is so elegant and yet we use it daily. Very pleased with this choice.

The cutlery is very beautiful and I love the quirkiness of each different utensil having a different pattern. It is also nice that most stack flat on each other, (except the knives, which have rounded handles). The downside and why I didn’t give 5 stars. The picture of the cutlery next to a plate is not true to life, or it is a huge plate. The length of the knives and how big the fork prongs are, is to my mind, out of balance. In fact the knives are so long they don’t quite fit in a standard cutlery slot. I had to do some carving and shaving off my new (and luckily inexpensive) bamboo cutlery container to fit the knives in. The other issue is, it says dishwasher safe but in the blurb that comes with the cutlery set, it says it is better to hand wash and not to soak. Well my dishwasher and I are best buddies so I hope they go alright as them being dishwasher safe was a selling point. Only 4 stars due to the knives and fork prong length and the full washing instructions only being available to a buyer when you get your cutlery.

I have high expectations for this set, but end up returning them. You can see from the photo. I unwrapped only three items. The patterns are asymmetric and the edge of the handle is sharp to touch. I canât believe the quality of Wallace became so bad.
