Beautiful, functional and great quality bowls
The color of these got my attention first. The red on is more of a reddish brown, but red enough. My kitchen is blue and I have red in my decor so these fit in perfectly.I love that they nest. The was the selling point for me.The plastic lids do not seal tightly like I would expect with the airlock lid. They can be lifted off quite easily.

They are made of high quality material and the lid seals tight. When microwaved, other cheap bowls I have get hot, like hotter than the food lol… These ones don’t. So it’s great to use for lunch prepping.

If you want to give these as a gift, what I received was sloppily repackaged. I could not give these as a gift the way they were sent. I decided to keep the bowls and use them myself. They were not broken or chipped. They are decent bowls and the lids stay on well. I will travel to the store to buy another set of bowls to give on Xmas.

What’s included:- 4 ceramic bowls 36 oz with plastic lidsThe ceramic bowls by vancasso are very well made and can be used in a variety of settings. If there is one small potential weak point to be aware of it maybe the plastic lids which do a great job out of the box but which may become less effective over the long term.The bowls are quite large measuring 6 inches in diameter based on outside dimensions while having a diameter of about 5.75″ for interior measurements. The height of each bowl is less than 3.5″ at about 3.3 or 3.4″.Each bowl is made of ceramic and features a swirl pattern with speckled dots throughout. There maybe a hint of olive with the coloring of the bowl’s stripes as well.The bowls are glazed which gives them a very pristine and glossy finish. In my video you will see how the light reflects off of a bowl’s side demonstrating that glazed finish. Additionally, the manufacturer has done a nice job in creating a textured bottom which helps prevent the bowls from sliding around on smooth surfaces, see video for further information.In terms of weight, these bowls are quite heavy weighing around 615-620 grams each without the lid. With the lid placed on to a bowl, the weight increases to about 670-675 grams.Each of the four bowls comes with a plastic air tight lid which works well in sealing in contents and preventing leaks. Each lid contains a silicon ring which aids in this process making these bowls very good at transporting or containing items like soups and other similar contents.Overall the package is quite good from a design and build point of view – but more on that in a moment.I have had the opportunity to test these bowls and their resilience in various settings by washing them in the dishwasher (minus the lids), placing them in the microwave, putting them in the oven as well as in the freezer and the bowls have performed great making these an ideal and versatile product for leftovers, or reheating items when needed. For full transparency I will also note that when tested in the oven I placed a bowl in the oven at 375 degrees for 20 minutes and it was ok inspite of being glazed which as I understand could be an issue so just be a little cautious the first time.While the package of bowls and lids is excellent, it should be kept in mind that the lids are made of some kind of plastic, possibly PET, or PP etc and because of this they can be susceptible to manipulation over time especially from heat, so while they are able to seal in liquids out of the box, over time I would suspect that they will become just a tad less effective and one should be mindful of this, but for the short and medium term, they should perform great.These are well built bowls that are quite attractive and most of well well performing in various scenarios. The lids maybe slightly less impressive but they are effective out of the box and certainly should remain so for the short term. The addition of these bowls has expanded our ability to avoid using other storage methods and they do hold quite a bit of food for things such as salads, chiles and other items that we have enjoyed in them.Ceramic bowls may not be the most glamourous product found on Amazon but in terms of performance, these ones have met my expectations and then some.Cheers,

I hate plastic wrapping bowls, so having a set of bowls of varied sizes with actual lids is great. The bowls are ceramic and so sturdy and heavy. They also look really nice, definitely good enough to actually serve food in, not just to use for storage like for example my steel bowl set. The lids also fit really nicely, they have a good gasket so you can actually get a airtight seal on them. They slide on fairly easily, but they can suction quite firmly onto the bowls. The little valve in the middle helps with that though, you just pop it open and the lids come off easily. Its nice that they’re clear too, no need to open all the bowls in the fridge trying to figure out what’s in the them. The set stacks really nicely too, both with the lids on and off, and they are really easy to wash, and can be washed in the dishwasher. The little bowls come in surprisingly handy for stuff like condiments or olives and the like. Its a very convenient set that’s also just very good looking.

I always look for bowls and containers to store and serve food in. I came across this set of 4 ceramic bowls with lids and wanted to try them.The bowls arrived very well packaged. There are 4 different-sized bowls each with a lid.The nice thing about these bowls is that they can nest in each other so they take up less cupboard space.The lids fit very nicely and are airtight. When putting the lids on the seal is so good that you need to open up the small port on the top to let air out when you put the lid on. The lids stay on very tightly and to remove them easily you need to open that port again since they create a vacuum when they are put on.These bowls are ceramic and very nice looking. They have some decent weight to them and look great.You can put these bowls in the dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge, or freezer. I am not sure whether you can put the lids in the microwave or oven but I think I will just use the lids when storing the food.I am very happy with these bowls. They are very classy looking and well made. They are chip and scratch-resistant.These bowls would make an excellent gift and they are very versatile.I do recommend them.
