Worth it !!!! â¦but Unbreakable ????
I must say out of the gate, that this is a delightful product that does everything they say it does. The material quality and workmanship are excellent. Not only attractive and stylish, the design makes coffee brewing simple and convenient. When we break this, weâll buy a replacementâthe product is that good.But beware of the clever âBait and Switchâ marketing. âUnbreakableâ is the BRAND NAME, not the durability rating of the glass!Nonetheless, if you examine this glass vessel by holding it up to the light and revolving it, you will see an almost perfect refraction of light with no waviness or inclusions. Likewise the printed measurements are molded into the glass. Add to that, the pouring spout is molded with a no-drip tip (which works!).The same pitcher is offered by other companies at higher pricing, so Iâm guessing this product will be on the market for some time.It would make an excellent gift because of its thermal versatility- ie: from coffee to iced tea in 60 seconds (figuratively speaking). For the record, borosilicate is the same glass that laboratory test tubes and original Pyrex were made of.I donât like the spin this seller put on the term âunbreakableâ, but I have no doubts about the quality of the product. (Yes, Iâm an industrial design engineer of food processing equipment, and NO, Iâm not affiliated with this supplier or Amazon.)Update: Feb 17, 2025 – We bought a second one for when the first breaks. Neither of them have broken. We use them every dayâ¦have had them both over a year.

Unbreak my coffee
This may be unbreakable but I haven’t tried to break it. The glass and feels like it would break easily, if you tried to. Works great for making coffee though. I like the spout. Makes it easy to pour coffee into my coffee cup. Sometimes I pour it into my coffee mug. It works well for either. I typically add creamer to my coffee after I pour it into my coffee cup and/or mug. Then I drink the coffee. It usually tastes good, unless I use a flavored coffee I don’t like the taste of. After I’m done drinking the coffee out of my coffee cup or mug. I clean my coffee cup or mug. Then I clean the unbreakable pour over coffee maker. That is some what cumbersome if you don’t have a brush that can reach the bottom of the pour over coffee maker. I don’t really drink a lot of coffee though.

I bought the spout type in September 2023. At that time it was listed as 34 ounce. I found that 27 ounces would be a more honest description (see my first review below) . And behold, the seller actually changed the description to 27 ounces! So happy to report that the seller paid attention. It helps a lot when your buyers are not disappointed and get what you describe.Having said that, I have not raised the stars to 5 because I just broke it. The spout broke when it tipped in the sink. These are made of glass, and no matter how strong the glass, they are not “unbreakable” especially when the spout protrudes out. But, I have very much enjoyed using this maker and it is a terrific value. It is also packaged beautifully so it makes a great gift. I have re-ordered the model without the spout. I don’t that it was available back in September. I like w/o spout better. Takes up less space and easier to store and also less apt to break!*******************This is an early review, prior to actually using it. This carafe is adorable. Having said that, I dropped a star from the start because the stated 34 oz is deceptive. I got this one to replace a 6 cup Chemex which is described as a 30 ounce decanter. The Chemex bowl is much bigger than this one and yet the “unbreakable” manufacturer says it holds 34 ounces. The difference is that the Chemex 6 cup holds 30 ounces in the bowl of the decanter. I filled up the “unbreakable” using an 8 ounce measuring cup. I managed to pour in 4 cups and 2 additional ounces however the liquid goes high up in the neck and also fills up the spout and literally spills out. A fair description of this is carafe would state 27 ounces, because that is what the bowl holds without flooding the entire carafe.

Filter is wonderful!
I was concerned that it would take forever to make coffee with this because the filter would drip very slowly or clog. But it flows right through fast and efficiently. And grounds do not stick in the filter, so washing is a breeze.The carafe holds almost as much as the 6 cup level of my old Mr. Coffee, which is what I needed, and there is no plastic! Hurray!The coffeemaker also looks elegant and takes up much less space that an electric one.

It’s brandname is ‘Unbreakable’, but even being made of borosilicate glass, it’s still quite fragile
I bought this borosilicate glass carafe to add more coffee brewing capacity when I had more than two guests for breakfast gatherings. It was simliar in apperance and constrution to a carafe I already own, and which I have been using almost daily for 2 years. But this new carafe proved to be rather fragile, breaking after a few months of careful use. It shaddered while being hand washed in a composite sink, without any significant contact.The reusable coffee filter device was fine, and worked well… although I can’t comment on how well it contained spent coffee grounds, since I always use a paper filter too. And the Carafe looked nice as well, with clean lines and a graceful spout. The ML markings on the side of the carafe were less useful since they were printed slightly skewed, and were not very accurate. IT was not an issue for me, since I use a gram scale to measure water amounts.I will need a replacement carafe very soon, but I guess I will just buy one locally.

I was looking for an alternative to a conventional coffee machine because the water going through the system of my machine was never really piping hot and I always ended up with lukewarm coffee. Now, the boiling water from the kettle goes straight into the filter and the result is perfect. About the ‘Flavour’ rating. This depends entirely on the type and amount of coffee and water you use. I got the ratio right and therefore the flavour gets 5 stars as well. I chose this particular coffee pot and filter because it not only looks beautiful, but it is also very easy to clean and doesn’t need paper filters. Great stuff!
