I recently purchased some cast iron pans and none of them come with tops of any kind. I was concerned about the mess I would be making on my stove top so I looked at several types of splatter screens. I especially like the fact that this one was able to be used in several additional ways other than just a splatter screen. I can use it by just flipping it over to place something I was cooking on the mesh since it is strong enough. I also like that I can again flip it over and set it down on the top if I need both hands for cooking without making a mess on the counter. It’s an all around nice piece to add to my kitchen. BTW…it was here the next day after I ordered it.

For something that sits on top of a pan youâd expect it to be very much heat resistant, but itâs quite the opposite. From the first usage the parts of the mesh that are in contact with the panâs metal or exposed to the heat travelling from the burner around the outside will turn black and start smoking. Would not buy again.

Solid product received in a timely manner exactly as shown in picture but haven’t had it long enough to rate how durable it is. I was able to find similar quality product for less money. A tad overpriced but good quality.
