It will take a dull knife to a less dull knife and it will take a sharp knife down to a less sharp knife.The quality is pretty cheap; just by putting the sharpener in my cabinet, two out of four feet fell off the stand.

This was a gift for our son and he raves about it. Thought for what it is seems fairly pricey.I have a Ken Onion sharpener that is similar money and can’t say enough about it.

I have used many different knife sharpening tools over the years and this one is by far the worst I have ever used. I wish I could get my money back. It flattens out the curve of your knife, it doesn’t sharpen evenly, the magnetic holder magnatizes the knife so all the filings stick to your blade and you can’t get them off and it takes forever. I spent 45 min with it and it only sharpened part of the blade. If I could give it negative stars I would.
