Just as nice as a Staub or Le Cruset!
I own a Staub 7 quart in Grenadine. But the Staub is better for a large roast or whole chicken and a little too large for baking bread, spaghetti sauce, chili, etc. I wanted a smaller 4 to 5.5 quart size but I didn’t want to spend $300 – $400 on another Staub. However I do really love the rich “Grenadine” color offered by Staub. So, I was watching ATK (America’s Test Kitchen) and they reviewed dutch ovens and presented the lower cost Tramontina as a reasonably priced alternative to their top choice (Le Cruset). OMG!!!! I found this Tramontina on Amazon for a fraction of the cost of LeCruset or Staub and the color is almost identical to Staub’s “Grenadine”. The top fits perfectly, the interior is a light color which translates to better cooking results, and you can see the bottom to check for burning or doneness, the handles are large enough to get a good grip on the pot when moving it, and the heat retention is exactly what you would expect from a dutch oven.It was expertly packed and arrived in perfect comdition. Also, the size is a perfect all-around size. Wow! I made a great purchase!

Majolica Red – Amazing Value
I purchased 3 of these when they were on sale Dec 2022 for 40 bucks a piece. Came very well packaged. I am obsessed with this color and hope they add more sizes! For the price this is an amazing value. Will it be heirloom quality? No. Buy a $400 Staub if that’s what your after. I have a 5 year old one that’s still in good condition. A few chips around the edge but still performs beautifully. Doesn’t cook or perform any different than my Staubs do. I do prefer the flat top design of Staub, but love the Tramontina price!

Great, beautiful, cooks evenly with lots of flavor!
I held off a long time getting this and now that I have it I find I use it all the time, including making bread!I considered getting one of the expensive ones but this thing is great and I donât know how one that costs 10x as much can be 10x better. The lid has ridges for âself bastingâThe handles are large enough so it is is comfortable to pick up.Easy enough to clean but donât expect it to stay pristine white! The directions say to season the exposed lip on the base and lid with oil and bake in oven. I did this but wish I didnât. ANY drop of oil you get on the pot will âbakeâ on and look like a permanent smudge. You wash this thing with soap, unlike non-enameled cast iron, so I donât really see what seasoning the lip will do. Just make sure you let it dry ALL the way before you put the lid back on and store it.

More white than pictured, but lovely and works well
It’s lovely, and the perfect size for a bread loaf or stew. The color is more white than is pictured, but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. It’s very heavy, and sturdy. I wouldn’t call these pots easy to clean, since they frequently require a hand-buffing with baking soda, but they are worth the effort.

Durable and appealing look
This Dutch oven was just what I needed. Beautiful color and great quality. When the electric goes out in the winter we fire up the wood stove and and use this pot to make a nice roast with potatoes. Itâs also great to use in the oven. I would definitely recommend this Dutch oven as itâs of good quality and a nice price too.

Functionality and looks great!
This dutch oven is such a fantastic addition to my cookware. It cleans so easily and I have enjoyed using this to cook. I’ve only made soups and stews so far but I am planning to use it to bake bread sometime soon. I haven’t had any issues with food sticking and it appears to be building a seasoning with no issues.

Love this Dutch Oven
I threw out all of my stainless steel pots and pans that I have had about 15 years. Purchased this cast iron enameled dutch oven, round cassoulet, grill and frying pans. This is all I really use in my old set and I am trying to downsize. Decided to splurge and get what I really wanted this time. I received this and it was beautiful! I ordered white and was worried that it might stain the very first use. Shouldn’t have been, cooked in it all day and clean up (inside and out) was a breeze, couldn’t even tell it had been used after washing the pot. Heat distribution was so much better than in the old stainless pots and pans I had. I love it!

Me decepcionó por completo, llegó con la pintura botada, mal empacada y tardó 6 mese en llegar, por ello la voy a regresar.

I purchased this so I can bake 2 loaves of sourdough bread at the same time.As my other dutch oven is a Creuset, I am a little spoiled. The Tramontina is heavier than the Creuset. It is a beautiful color and the design is sleek.Several loaves of bread later, my conclusion is that it is adequate. The bread does rise well but not as much as in the Creuset. I will be using it for a coq au vin this week and I am sure it will be great for that. All in all, I am happy with the purchase for the price I paid.May 2022. I am editing my review for the following reason. Small pieces of enamel were falling off my dutch oven. I contacted the company with a description and photos but they said there is nothing they can do because the “lifetime” warranty only covers manufacturing defects, not wear and tear.My belief is that the defect was a faulty application of the enamel and that is the cause of the chipping.
