    Sturdy perfect size
I needed a new “induction” large pot. This one is a great large size and works well on my induction stove top. I was pleased with the quality of construction and ability to retain heat.

    Quality
Fantastic pot! Made a giant serving of homemade chili and did all the steps in this one pot. As advertised I never needed more than medium heat on my electric stove. It looks great, cleans up easily, and for the price it’s hard to beat.

The many reasons I love this Tramontina 24 qt. stock pot!
I use this Tramontina 24 qt. stockpot mainly for my huge batches of soup that I make to freeze individual meals for the whole winter. My old stockpot had a very thin bottom. Not this one! The bottom is a very thick tri-ply (meaning aluminum sandwiched between stainless steel), and it heats evenly, without anything sticking. It has a brushed stainless interior, and the exterior is a brushed stainless with a polished strip at the top. I have uploaded a bunch of photos for you to see. I am very happy to say that this matches my Cuisinart MultiClad Pro cookware set almost exactly!!! It is a BEAUTIFUL pot! The handles, which are riveted into the pot for strength, feel very very sturdy. And they are also similar to my Cuisinart set. So when both pieces are on the cooktop, you really can’t tell they are not from the same set (see photos). If Cuisinart had made a pot this size, I would have purchased that, but since they don’t, this one is great. I like that it has a curved lip on the rim for pouring (you need that!). The lid is also very flat (not domed), so with the handle, it only adds 1.5 in. to the height of the pot. The only thing I found wrong with this pot is a small pit underneath one handle (see photo), and some black streaks on the bottom that I had to clean off with Barkeeper’s Friend. But these minor things were no showstopper. It was packaged well, with the box inside another box. Here are the dimensions I measured, just in case you need them.Height of pot (outside): 12 in. (add 1.5 in. for lid handle)Height of pot (inside): 11.5 in.Width of pot (rim to rim) 13.25 in.Width of pot including handles: 16.75 in.Width of pot (inside): 12.75 in.Handle width: 4.25 in.Handle opening width: 3.5w x 1.5dHope you find this info helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a fairly large stockpot. Very beautiful, functional, and high-quality for a large pot in this price point!

    Good quality!
I would have preferred a clear lid, but could not find a Tramontina brand in the size I needed, with clear lid.

Since my old pot would have gone on easily for another 15 years (except for my error)- I …
This was to replace an old version of the same company’s pot (left empty on a high heat burner and finally died after 15 years or so).I was looking originally at what appeared to be the same pot (same company, etc)- but it had a metal top (this has glass) and was taller (wouldn’t fit under my top oven above the burners). I looked in some of my kitchen catalogs and online and the metal top one appears to be a lesser weight (quality) pot but was significantly cheaper. So I found the model number of my old pot and it matches this one. Since my old pot would have gone on easily for another 15 years (except for my error)- I only wanted the same model. The only differences I can see between the old & new…. is this new one’s glass top is a slight bit heavier and fits the pot a bit better (wider lip goes a hair farther into the pot). Also, the handles (all of them) have been redesigned with a bit of flatness to them, instead of same width roundness. It makes them more comfortable to hold & use.Lastly, the new steamer has 2 nice handles on it- the old had this stupid thin metal swing bar that folded down into the steamer basket-hard to fish out to remove the basket.So….. good redesigns all around. This was made in China- doesn’t bother me…. obviously Tramontina kept their quality control (at least for this pot)It’s a GREAT pot, the weight of it, cooks like a dream. If the only thing you’ll be using it for is to cook pasta or steam veggies- Tramontina’s metal topped one, (looks the same from the pictures on Amazon-read the specification descriptions to see the differences) at less than half the price, would be the better choice. But if you use the bottom pot as a stockpot, stew maker, chicken or roast browner (high sides keep the splatter contained), etc., then you will appreciate the even heating and very sturdy construction of this pot. I even use it (with a round cake cooling rack on the bottom) to process half pint jam jars.Did I appreciate paying more than 3 times what I paid for the same pot 15 years ago??? OF COURSE NOT.But if it lasts me another 15-20 years…..

    Hell yea!
Super quality. The thick clad bottom evenly distributes heat. The polish makes it easy to clean and almost non-stick. Love it. This will clearly last my lifetime.
