I had no idea that this was an option for a crockpot! I was going to buy another smaller crockpot so I could bring broccoli and squash to thanksgiving dinner, with the crockpockets I only needed to bring one crockpot with both sides in it! Works great and the silicone did not have a smell to it.. that was a big concern to me as I read reviews on similar items and there were reviews about bad chemical smells.

For the price, I expected the ceramic crockpot to not need lifting and washing…condensation and the oils etc from the steam go between the pockets and down into the bottom of the crockpot. So while it was easy to lift out the silicone pockets–got them partially because it’s painful for me to lift crockpot to rinse out before putting in dishwasher–I still had to wash the crock…..BUT, the pockets did their job and I made a luscious roast in one side and honey glazed carrots in the other. The other great thing is that you can start the meat for 4 hours BEFORE you add the veggies in the other pocket for the last 4 hours. Brilliant…And for one person it’s nice to be able to slow cook smaller portions. The only thing is now you have 3 things to clean, not one. Weigh your reason for buying it. I’ll keep using it, and I’d buy it again.
