    Recommendations Proved Right!
I bought this for my girlfriend after reading reviews and a strong recommendation from Cooks Illustrated. She loves it because it works wonders. Clean up is easy, which is important for her. It is flat-bottomed so no ring is necessary, which is important to me. Also, I love that it’s not too heavy for me to hold or manipulate. This is easy to season and get cooking. I call her Girl With A Wok now! Thank you for a superior product!

    Very well made
This is a very good wok The directions on seasoning it are not included and what is included is confusing. I blame that on the manufacturer for not including instructions .

    Coating problems
So, I knew this wok did NOT have the factory coating and I bought it anyway. Its seems to be a nice pan BUT creating a durable seasoned finish is very difficult. I do not understand why the manufacturer does not offer a factory-coated finished for their flat-bottomed wok. I could not find a flat-bottomed wok on Amazon with a factory coating.

    Love it
I have cooked out of it several times. It simply does what you expect a wok to do. I watched an online video about curing it. As a side not I always struggled to cure cast iron. I heated them at various temperatures and used butter, lard or oil. Nothing worked on some of them. The wok method was used as suggested by America’s test kitchen and finally I have a non stick surface on them too. Happy cooking.

    Great Wok!
Great Wok – the only negative was the pain it was removing the protective coating That comes from the factory before first use.

    Awesome Wok
I’m glad I bought this wok. Easy to season. Lots of You-Tube video on that. It’s quite big.

    Protective lacquer won’t come off
I’m sure this is thing is great if you can get the protective lacquer coating off but unfortunately I can’t. I followed the instructions but the lacquer coating is still on there and still smells like burnt plastic when the pan is heated. I’m going to try oven cleaner next since everything else has failed.

    Rust issue
Picture shows 3 products I bought, seasoned same way. matfer bourgeat, cast iron. and TaylorNg -One I am throwing away because rust, it even rust on bottom of wok where direct fire on it. TaylorNg product also produce weird taste. I let them know but they said I didn’t seasoned it right.
