Perfect gift that keeps on giving!
This was a great gift! So glad I thought of it! My grandkids opened the present and found a waffle maker that was a light and easy to use design. Definitely value for money, and works great! We found cooking them for about 5-7 minutes produces a crispier waffle and 3-4 minutes is a soft waffle. We made both because of preferences. So cook time was easy to determine, although you could just watch for the red light indicator, which is around 2-3 minutes. I found the little maker easy to clean and quite durable. Fitted quite nicely in the pantry.

It works okay
It makes square waffles just like the frozen ones in the store and about the same size. However, it takes a long time to cook and mine has uneven heating. I just make a whole bunch on Sundays, freeze, and pop them in the toaster to get them crispy just like the ones from the store. 4 stars for the uneven heating.

Not Good At All
I thought what a nifty little waffle maker for like under $10. WRONG! This is the single worst appliance I have bought in ages. It does not cook well or evenly. Even after very carefully placing the batter, it drips out all over the sides and is NOT easy to clean off at all. The waffles come out unevenly cooked, almost raw at the edges. The non-stick surface isn’t up to par. I threw it out after one use. Buy a different one.
