disappointing crack and filler
I love that this tamper is of once piece construction. The shaping is very smooth and even. I tested the fit of both the small and large ends, and they fit nicely in the small and large pans in our kitchen.The big disappointment for me is that the tamper is constructed using a piece of wood that included a significant knot. The knot is clearly filled with some foreign material that caused me to worry if it would fall out and contaminate my food. It also caused a crack that you can see in the photos.This particular tamper should have been scrapped out of production. If, however, we would have received a tamper from a different piece of wood, I would guess that the tamper would have worked out great.
