Makes my drawer safer
My good knives were just loose in the drawer I had them stored in and my knife block was too big to have on my very small counter. They moved around when the drawer opened and closed and were not very safe, plus the blades were at risk for being nicked. This was an excellent solution to my problem.One bit of advise, if your drawers are smoothly finished on the bottom, this will slide around in them. I combated this by cutting a bit of the slightly padded shelf liner that looks like a net and putting it under under the wood block. Bonus, it keeps my knife blades on something softer than the bottom of the drawer!Which brings me to the next point, the dowel pins that hold the thing together are also meant to hold the knife blades up off the bottom of the drawer but the knives barely reach the front ones so the blades end up able to fall to the bottom. Not an issue for me because I have the padding there but could dull the blades I suppose if you just let them hit the drawer.Well made, the wood is sturdy and doesn’t slide around on the dowel pins. Great size for a small drawer. Overall I am very happy with this knife holder.

Fit’s perfectly and a great space saver.
I didn’t want to junk up our counter tops with a knife block and we only have one utensil drawer in our apt, so we really need to make the most of our space. This tray keeps our knives neatly organized and actually freed up more space for us to store other utensils. Also love it from a safety stand point as well since our knives were previously loose in the drawer and we recently purchased some very sharp knives so we needed a better solution. Exactly what I was looking for!

Exactly what I needed for narrow drawers!
We only use 5 kitchen knives, and have limited counter and drawer space so I thought Iâd give this a try.It is solidly made, looks good, does exactly what itâs designed to do. Absolutely no complaints.I did need to modify it a bit however. Our kitchen has old drawers that are only 16.75â deep and I couldnât find a knife tray less than 17â deep. So I ended up cutting about 1/4â off the back end of this tray (used a cheap coping saw, worked great!) The cut end is at the back so youâd never know unless you take it out and inspect it, and none of our knives are long enough that they reach the end of the tray.

I liked the 7 slot design image, however they sent the 14 slot design style with 7 slots. I can’t understate how much this makes me respect Victorinox less. No heads up, just send it.

Great In-Drawer Knive Tray
VERY PLEASED!! Have just completed a mini-make-over for my kitchen and wanted the protection of a knive block but not sitting out on my counter. I’m a fanatic for very sharp knives. The rack with knives fits well in a 3 1/2 inch deep drawer. Steel fits in the larger middle opening. Holds knives well – not loose like some I’ve tried. Arrived in 3 days from the order date by regular shipping. Excellent service.

This block works well, holds knives securely and fits in my cabinet drawer. Some of my larger knives (chef’s/cook’s knife in particular) has a small protrusion at the base of the handle for slip control. This causes the knife to sit on the block and hit the shelf. A little dremel work was needed to make a slot for the knife handle to sit in. I also put this on a silicone mat following other commentor’s recommendations. Even with these two modifications I still highly recommend this block.
