We had a bowl like this for several years. It worked great until it got set too close to the stove and got a hole melted in it. They are large bowls that seal really well and are very durable. We ruined it long before was ever worn out.

8 quart is big but these are great
8 quart containers: rather the size of a big salad serving bowl. One holds a turkey breast (whole on bone, roasted breast.) Good locking lid.I wanted the next size down but these big bowls are actually pretty useful. I pack up the contents of those food kits (like Blue Apron or Hello Fresh) and put all the ingredients in the bowl. When getting ready to cook up one of the kits, I pull out the entire bowl and it’s easier to fish in there for the garlic, zucchini and packs of sauces.I also make up a batch of salad (lettuce, cucumber, onion, olives, etc) enough for several meals. The bowl keeps it very crisp and when I get home, hungry for dinner, I serve out a salad to act as appetizer and to keep me from noshing on less healthful things.I also pack my lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and cut onions into the bowl and store it on another shelf for a quick access to salad and veg fixings. No bag of lettuce escapes me now to turn magically and horribly into brown liquid in the back of the fridge.My friends try to steal them when I come over with batches of soup but you can always use the Brother label maker to fend off thievery. I got this container to replace a large Tupperware container. This fits in the cupboard well, and the lid snaps on securely. Highly recommend.

Quality is great and thick. If you want to store liquid food, it will hold 104 oz safely (along the line on the wall) instead of 147.8 oz stated. I am sure solid food can be up to 145 oz for lid to close securely.
