My husband wanted some new steak knives. So off to Amazon to go knife hunting. Amazon sells a lot of steak knife sets, so I had to sift through and check them out and read the reviews. I settled on these because they were in my price range and had good reviews. They seem very well made and have a good feel to them and are sharp. So far so good…hubby is happy and so am I.

Heavy & sharp
These are good, heavy, sharp knives. I bought one set first & then 2 more. They arenât packaged very well â the first one was loose but they were fine; the second was loose & they damaged themselves; the third was well packaged & in perfect condition â so not for gift giving unless you inspect it first. I easily exchanged the damaged set & it was worth it to get a complete set of these knives.My only criticism is that the serrations are large enough that sometimes I feel like I am tearing at the food rather than cutting.

Stains!
At first try, the knives look and feel lovely! They are heavy–is fact surprisingly so. They cut steak really nicely and with ease, so I loved them… until I took them out of the dishwasher after the first use! I have always used my dishwasher for my utensils and I was very surprised to see that these knives came out dirty. It seems that the finish on them helps stuff stick on them. I mean I have always used knives for steak and used the same exact dishwasher and same detergent on other kinds of steak knives and none had every stained like these!So now I have to go through each with close attention after each dishwashing to see if I need to hand wash! It’s a shame; it is clearly something with the knives and how they are finished!I don’t recommend them unless you are hand washing them after each meal.
