Not bad for the price
I’ve had my eye on gooseneck style kettles for about six months and when I decided to give my glass kettle a rest my decision led me to this gooseneck electric kettle.I’ve had this item for about a 28 days and just noticed, by chance, that the lid is developing rust along the rim. The inside of the kettle is fine and doesn’t have this problem and my coffee and tea do not taste like metal ð¤. Has anyone else had this issue, I wonder?If I have to trash it, I will. No sense crying or pouting over $19.99.Aside from the above mentioned, I like this alot. It takes about 4 minutes from a stand still to a rolling boil once the button is pushed down. Easy to pour. Easy to store. Four stars…Hakuna matata.UPDATE as of 11.22.24, I had rust all up inside the kettle. I threw it out and definitely have been drinking rust, most likely, for months.. I would pass on this product and find a better quality gooseneck. Just my opinion.

Perfect kettle for pour overs and tea.
I bought this because I was looking for a gooseneck kettle to make better pour over coffee and needed something compact so I could bring it to the office if needed. Small enough to not take up room but large enough to boil water for at least 2 cups. Stays hot long enough and boils quick.

Leaked and sparked on FIRST use–Dangerous!
Just got this kettle after looking at different models for MONTHS to replace an older electric kettle we also bought on Amazon which has failed after two (!) years despite seller replacing first shipped kettle that failed. We washed the current kettle and checked that the volume to the max-fill-line is as the ad claims–1 L, not a fraction of a liter. Check–filling the kettle to the metal tab inside the kettle that says “MAX,” about 1.25-inch below the rim of the kettle, is a full liter as confirmed by transfer to Pyrex measuring cup.Next, we tested the negative reviews that placing the kettle on the heating base is difficult. Yes, it is. The kettle wobbles dangerously unless you PUSH it down on the heating element. Even then, if the kettle’s empty, it still wobbles when you relieve it of downward pressure. No big problem for us. When done heating water, remove kettle from base.But then we tried to boil about 700 mL of water–well below capacity. Before the water boiled, we saw SPARKS under the kettle as water spilled out somewhere near the base where the handle connects to the body at the bottom. Very, very dangerous. Worse, as we lifted the kettle to remove it from the base, more hot water spilled down at the base onto the heating element AND US. Given other reviewers have had the same experience, why is this dangerous product still available on Amazon?!Angry and disappointed. Another failed product. Where did all the reliable products go???

Very quickly have a cup of hot water for tea or oatmeal.
You have to fill it to half a liter which is a bit of a hassle when wanting just a cup of tea or Oatmeal, but it does get the water heated up I’d say in about 60 seconds. If you heat it up and decide to go without instead, it automatically turns off so after turning it on there’s no losses. Just enjoy it the next day instead. I usually need to quickly run out of the house when a job comes up so I throw the bottled water in, race around doing the rest, then pour that boiling h2o into a cup to go and race out. It’s a whole lot easier and quicker than putting onto the stove. It’s fully glass and the handle is a soft plastic so the water doesn’t have any bad flavor to it and it’s easy to hold.
