Heavy Duty
I have been slowly updating my pots and pans to stainless steel ones. I was super excited to give this one a try. It says dishwasher safe, but itâs not really recommended it and I would recommend handwashing it to help preserve it for longevity as dishwasher detergent is really not great for any dishes in general. Itâs also oven safe which I like if you need to throw something into the oven for a quick minute and the lid is also oven safe up to 392°.I find that you only need a little oil with this when cooking to keep things from sticking. Stuff does not stick as much as I thought it would with this pan. I appreciate this because even though it doesnât have the nonstick coating it is still is easy to clean. The lid sits flush and flat on the top, which is a little different than what Iâm used to. It does sit a little loose. Iâm not sure that I would use this for rice as it doesnât get a perfect tight seal with the spouts on the sides. The two spouts on the sides are convenient and make it easy for pouring things out, which is really nice when youâre making gravy or etc. The lid also has a spot to be able to strain water out without having to dirty another dish or a colander. I like that it has two different sized holes on opposite sides of the lid for the straining ability. It is a little bit difficult to clean around the two bolts where the handle attaches to the pan, but I found all of my pans are like this and itâs just a spot that gets gunked up and is hard to clean in general. The lid is fairly easy to clean and is sealed well around the metal ring and glass. Overall, a great addition to continue replacing my old chipping non-stick pans.

A well thought out pot!
What a spectacular stainless steel sauce pan! 2.5 quarts holds a generous amount of sauce and with its non reactive finish you can confidently cook sauces that are acidic and not have discoloration or pitting. This pot is very durable, this sauce pot is heavy-bottomed which ensures uniform heat distribution, thus reducing the risk of hot spots that could burn food. It did ship fully intact with no assembly. The handle feels very good in my hands, solid with very well done riveting. I do have a concern the handle gets a little too hot at times and you need a towel or oven mitts to handle the pot.I really like the units of measuring on the inside of the pot and paired with drain holes in the lid and a spout on either sideâ¦draining the water from cooked pasta or even a boiled egg just got even more convenient. This sauce pot doesnât shy away from cooktops: itâs suitable for various cooktops, including gas, induction, and electric. While this can be put in the dishwasher, the card included with it suggests to maintain the pot in its excellent condition they suggest washing it by hand. I tend to wash all my nicer higher end pots and pans by hand so that really isnât an issue. If you take care of this pot you will definitely get years of unfettered use.

Excellent pan for soups, stews, sauces, mac’n’cheese…
I’ll echo the other five-star reviewers and add that this pan appears the same in quality to pans I’ve seen priced three or more times as much at specialty kitchen stores. It’s a pleasure to look at and a pleasure to use. If it were part of a set, I would immediately purchase the set.The spouts are handy and effective in minimizing spills. They’re handy, since this shape and size of pan is best suited to liquid foods such as soups, sauces, and stews. If you keep the lid on as you pour, the lid can act as a strainer. Although the handle is metal and oven-safe, it does not get too hot when used on the stovetop.I agree with the reviewer who said the pan may not be best suited to making rice, since the pan and its lid are not designed to make a tight seal. This is too nice a pan for making rice, anyway!

Thick steel means quality
I use this pot on an induction stove and it works great.Just holding this pot reminds me of my first set of kitchen gear. I remember how thin the metal was for the pots and pans and how quickly they cooled when I put food on them to cook. This pot has a good amount of heft and quality steel. It’s not nearly as heavy as cast iron. The bowl of the pot is one solid piece of stainless steel and the handle is bolted on. It’s also fairly deep with some measuring marks inside. I again have to compliment the thickness of the steel as it means that it cooks evenly. There are two stubs inside the pot from where the handle is attached that food can stick and be a slight pain to clean but that’s the same with most other pots. The lid is flat, not concave and there is a ventilation hole. At first I thought that the hole isn’t necessary because of the strainers, but then if you turn the lid 90 degrees, the pot is sealed. My older Son’s already made his first batch of Mac n’ Cheese and loves the pot.

Great saucepan!
I am really happy with this little sauce pan. The size is perfect because it’s not too small but also easy to handle. I like that the lid is made of glass and that it has the little holes for steam to escape. The handle is fine, not great but works well and it’s sturdy, plus it doesn’t get as hot as the pan.I like how easy it is to clean too. I don’t like putting it in the dishwasher so I hand was it and dry it fast.I think overall it’s a great sauce pan, very versatile.

Enjoyable to use!
The PekGema pot arrived very quickly, securely packaged in a nifty cardboard design that protected it from damage, with a minimum of plastics and other difficult to recycle stuffing materials. A nicely designed flyer has a number of helpful hints to maximize the lifespan of the pan, along with a customer service email. Not that I would expect to need it, but always good to see it published.Everything about it says “quality” – the design, the heft, the looks. The tri-ply bottom should be excellent to evenly disperse the heat created by gas flames and reduce burned and stuck food. I don’t have much experience with high end cookware like All-Clad, but this is sort of how I imagine it to be.It is fun to use, and can be placed not only over gas, but just as well on electric, induction, or in the oven. Very versatile indeed.
