I like to cut all fresh veggies and herbs, and it takes forever to cut up garlic by hand. When I got this in I was excited. It takes some getting use to but it cuts my prep time down by more than half! Worth it!!

Updated review – Doesnât cut right through the garlic BUT GREAT FOR FRUIT PUREE
As I said below, this garlic press is no better than many others. However, I recently needed to make some apple sauce. I peeled and chopped the apple. Put it in a plastic lidded container for a couple of minutes with a little water. When I took it out I used this gadget instead of a fork. Magic! Easy, quick and comfortable handle to use.! Very happy. It will work well to puree other fruits (pears, peaches, etc).Original review:I was very disappointed with this product. From the promotional video it showed the gadget was able to cut and grind right through the garlic clove. But as you can see it still leaves a lot of squashed but not ground garlic pulp.Back to my one hand garlic press which gives similar results, but I find easier to clean. The ground garlic gets stuck in the grater. As I said, disappointed.

Using peeled and trimmed garlic cloves, would only press through about 1/2 of the clove. I tried room temperature, out of the refrigerator, and cut in 1/2 , nothing worked to give me a good mince. Spent about the same amount of time just doing it with a knife. scarping the flatten piece off the tool and minceing with a knife to add to the product that went through

The concept is great but the reality is mediocre. As others have stated, much of the bulb doesnât go through the grater and itâs very hard to clean that remainder off the grate. The videos are misleading – it does not work that well. Maybe their garlic has been cooked first?

In the cosmic scheme of things, these devices, like so many kitchen tchotckes, are utterly unnecessary–but quite fun to play with and rather good at what they do. A nice addition to the collection of useful, unnecessary toys.

This looked like a steal at less than $4 but the price hid pretty much the mailing price which was over $15 !. Also the product was weeks late. When it finally arrived, this was not a proper garlic roller but a minute piece of rolled weak plastic capable of lasting a few months maybe and good for only one clove at a time. The press had But for about $4 and $15 mailing as the Sopranos said FEGEDDABOUTIT. Amazon did the right thing (as usual) and refunded. Great customer service. Pity the product.
