This is so cool! It also arrived just hours before the Super Bowl, and was conveniently and quickly put to work as a serving board for an array of snacks and I’m so impressed.I was intrigued by the stainless steel side of this cutting board, since I hate using the same boards for poultry and meat that we use for fruits and vegetables. My husband is always mixing up which is which and there is no mistaking designated boards with this intelligently designed piece. I love using sustainable bamboo products in our kitchen especially, where we’re trying to avoid microplastics as much as possible. The handle is incredibly useful for storing (it even fits on a tiny hook that came with an Ikea stand we have and I can’t believe it’s working).It cleans up easily and the instructions were emphatic about not leaving it to soak. I washed it with hot soapy water and dried it immediately before using it the first time. After using, I wiped it clean with a sponge and don’t anticipate needing much elbow grease to keep it looking great and feeling fresh.We just moved, so I’ve been managing a lot of new products since things that worked in one place never quite fit in the new place (curtains too big or too small, bathroom cabinet now too wide or too narrow, etc.). There have been a number of new items we received that have been such a disappointment either in their construction (or need to put it all together ourselves), in their design, or in the overall quality. I can’t tell you what a pleasure it was to open this package and have the tray be so beautiful, so functional, and so thoughtfully designed. I recommend this without hesitation.

I’ve been wanting to get rid of my plastic cutting board after learning about how much plastic ends up in our food, but I just didn’t know what to use for cutting meat. I thought plastic was easy because I could just throw it in the dishwasher. I could have used glass, but they seem heavy and I thought I’d break them quickly. I kept looking at stainless steel cutting boards but they just didn’t look appealing. And then I came across this one and I thought, “What a great idea!” You can use one side for veggies and whatnot and the other side exclusively for meat. You can also use the bamboo side as a charcuterie board, although I am not sure I will be doing that, since I already have a dedicated charcuterie board. I love the fact that it has a handle. Not only it looks more interesting, but it can be hung on the wall, if you like, The grooves are very useful for collecting the meat juice, which was something other stainless steel boards didn’t have. After using the board for cutting meat, I just wipe it off with a paper towel and remove all juice and residue and then I hand wash it. My only concern at the moment is that water can get into the space between the steel board and the bamboo “frame” and maybe grow mold in there? I might be overthinking it, but it’s Florida and mold grows if you just think of it. So in order to dry it properly I place it over a cookie rack face down, to make sure all the liquid drains out and the board dries out completely. Hopefully, I won’t have any issues.
