Excellent for 3d printing filament storage; be careful about the latches securing
I use these cereal containers to hold my 3d printing filament and they work wonderfully for that. With some desiccant inside, the relative humidity stays constant, which is a good sign these containers are fairly air tight. For every day use, like storing cereal, my only concern would be that the latches seem to pop open periodically. It’s not an issue for me, since I don’t touch them once they are sealed up, but something to keep an eye on if your use is more frequent than mine.On the 3d printing front, there are lots of designs in maker world for these particular boxes and filament storage. The prints fit like a glove in these boxes.

Great fit for Rolls of 3D Printer Filament
Have been looking for a filament storage solution for a while now. Trying to find airtight containers to help them stay dry while also being able to identify without opening them up. A decent price was desirable, given how quickly it seems I am collecting different rolls of filament to try.These are just about the perfect solution, so far.These are just about the perfect size for airtight storage of your standard 1kg spools of 3D Printer Filament. I even managed to fit one of the spools in, box and all (see pic). The Flashforge box was just a bit too large, but the spool fit just fine. (It’s the clear sparkly filament on the left) Vacuum sealed bagged filament also fit – see the spool from Bambu on the right.These are the typical sized spools you get with 1kg (or smaller) filament.They are airtight seals, as described, with black rubber in the top section. The containers are not super rigid, nor are they extremely flimsy – hence the 4 star durability rating. I think they will be just fine for standard use.I will need to see if I can pop in some rollers so I can use the filaments while boxed. There is some free play available – I am 95% certain it will be possible. Just need to add rollers and put in a small hole to run the filament through.This was a 6 pack bought on sale and seems to be a pretty good deal, all things considered.

Good capacity, lids won’t stay closed
While these are just what I needed, size wise, the lids don’t want to stay snapped closed. They keep unlocking on two of the four containers. I may need to use tape to hold them on. If they weren’t all already full, I would be returning for a different item.

Great little boxes that fit my 3d printer filament perfectly. Printed out some desiccant holders with hygrometer and my filament are now safe and dry! The hydrometer shows the humidity levels are maintained over a month now so Iâm confident theyâre airtight!The only negative is that theyâre a little on the pricey side for a simple cereal box.

Bei mir sind da aber Filament Rollen mit entsprechenden Haltern drin…das soll wohl bis 70mm Spulenbreite gehen, da die Bodenplatte innen 77mm hat.Diese HALTER sind von genannten Bastelbruder entworfen und auch eine Empfehlung wert!Die Dose ist Stylisch ok, die Gummidichtung ist gut und durch die Rillen sind sie gut zu Greifen.Es liegen Etiketten und sogar ein weiÃer Stift bei, auch Trichter zum Ausschütten und kleine Messbecher.Ich Denke ich habe nichts falsch gemacht und würde sie nochmal kaufen, vielleicht dann sogar für Müsli
