Must Have for Sourdough
This is by far one of the best purchases Iâve made in my sourdough journey. I was so sick of peeling parchment paper off my loaves and having it tear when I picked my loaf out of the pan. The silicon makes it so much easier and I donât have to use oil or continually buy more parchment paper which makes it worth the price. Itâs super easy to clean and after months of use, still looks brand new. I would absolutely recommend to any sourdough baker out there.

I have a 5-quart Staub round cocotte with a 7â bottom so I knew this would be just slightly bigger. It fits ok and up the sides a little but fit was smooth and no bumps. It baked up great, only complaint and why I took one star off is because you can see on the bread where it goes up the sides, just a little off on the shape and color, itâs lighter not browned like the rest of the sides. It does have a smell to it right when you take it out but I donât think it affected the bread.

I got this for making bread with my oven, hoping it would be easier than parchment paper. I have used it twice and it has been exactly what I needed both times. It makes taking your breath out of your Dutch oven so much easier and more effortless with the loops on it. It washes really nicely and stores away really easily.

I just started my sourdough journey so I tried to get all the things I would need. Saw this sling and thought – what a great idea!!!! My baker friend who was teaching me always used parchment paper, but since I had the sling – she went ahead and used it. She LOVED it and said she would be getting one for herself. (Iâm buying her one as a gift for teaching me.) No burnt bottoms! Just lift out. Save on parchment paper. Washes up easy and stores in the drawer! Easy to use and very cost effective. There is no smell and well made. Fits just right in my 6 qt Dutch oven.

Great silicon mat for baking! I bake a lot of sourdough at home and tend to use a lot of parchment paper everytime I bake. So pleased I could find a reusable alternate on Amazon! Works perfectly till 250C, not tested beyond that since my oven doesnât get hotter than 250.

This is a great idea however as the sheet is so thick it leaves a small gap when you put the lid on the Dutch oven. So the base of my bread seemed very pale and the bread was flat! I have not used it since! I will give it another go and see if altering its position and/or placing it in the Dutch oven makes a difference?If someone else has a foolproof way of using this then do let me know.
