simple man –
Very sharp wife and I love it
For the price I was shocked by the quality and brutal sharpness of this knife.

Very inexpensive Shun knife, but it stays sharp and cuts very well
Very inexpensive Shun knife! It is not finished nicely, like most Shuns… if that is important to you. The handle is actually kind off ugly, and the blade is not polished. But it stays razor sharp, is easy to hone / sharpen, and is the shape of paring knife I prefer. Does what I need it to do… and can’t beat the price.

Okay knife, somewhat disappointing.
I bought this paring knife because I own many Shunâs. I wasnât impressed with this. It doesnât seem to hold an edge well and isnât as balanced in the hand that I would like.
John Krol –

First one i got had a really nice handle like in the picture, this one does too
First one i got had a really nice handle like in the picture. This one how ever looks really messed up. The grain on one of the sides looks like wet card board and it is ugly. Kife some how fell out of the crappy shun housing and bounced around on the trip here. Had to re sharpen. Blade seems normal handle is way ugly. Will not be buying again.

Not that sharp â¦
The quality of knife is not great. Already the edge retention has a divot and wood on hand is buckling.
Chris –
Japanese made and razor sharp
This is a fantastic paring knife. The size, weight and handle are exactly to my liking. Advisory – the handle is what feels like rough cut hard wood. It is not uncomfortable, but not the most ergonomic either. (I love the look)This is hand made in Japan with Japanese steel (see picture.) The laser etched writing is very clear and proof of where it is made. Out of the box, this knife shaved my arm. Honestly, itâs scary sharp. Measurements are true to description. After months of using this I can confirm this is a fantastic paring knife. Itâs sharpens easy on a kitchen steel and the tip has proved very durable. We use it for everything from fruit to meat.
