Best little microwave! Highly recommend
Took a lot of searching to finally find this little gem. Kept reading all the reviews on other microwaves and was ready to give up then got to page 3 or 4 of the search results and saw this little worker bee. It is small but mighty and relatively quiet. I thought it couldn’t be cooking well as it was so quiet but it does the job in the time you enter. I angled it so it fits nicely into a corner space, but initially had it flush against one wall and it still did not take up a lot of counter space.The child lock mechanism is easy to switch off, if you don’t need it.The clock was easy to set and easy to see in darkened room but not glaring.The timer buzzer is not annoying and I think I read (yes, I read the manual) you can turn that off, too, but I haven’t tried it as it doesn’t bother me.The inside is plenty big enough for largest plates we have.The opening is large and easy to move things in and out.The inside is nicely lined so it is very easy to clean.I wasn’t sure about the “Popcorn” programmed timing, but very easy to use and cooked the snack bags perfectly.I recommend this microwave highly!

One minor criticism
This is an excellent little oven, fits into my galley kitchen; it’s easy to use and performs perfectly.The one problem is that the child lock has to be turned off to open the door every time; the instructions to turn it off permanently don’t seem to work. It’s only one extra button to press, but it is mildly annoying in a childless household.

SHARP 900 Watt Microwave Oven
I chose this because of its small size, 900 W power, and reasonable price. The differences among brands and models (of the same power) seem to be minor. This model cooks evenly at the expected rate for 900 W power. I’d say the shortcomings of this one are 1. very dim interior light; 2. very loud sequence of 5 beeps when the time is done; 3. too complicated way to set weight defrost. I do like the fact that it does not continue to signal every few minutes when the time is expired (like my last one). The child lock was new to me, but the written procedure for turning it off permanently worked.

Nice countertop microwave
Small microwave for countertop, there is enough space on the counter to sit a bowl in front of this one. I like the looks and it works well. I think 900 is better than 700 for every day use.

Thereâs a way to turn off the child lock!
On my first try I almost broke the microwave because I thought it was broken then I found out it had a child lock. To turn it off you need to press 7 then 9 then hold 0 for three seconds. Itâs a great microwave for the price.

Works well with minor inconveniences.
This unit replaced a nearly identical older model that had many years of good service. This upgraded version is a little stronger. All is well so far, but it is a little noisier than the older model⦠a low growl, especially with lower weight items for some reason. I personally wonder why they bothered with the automatic START 30 second button ? If you want any time other than that, you have to punch-in âtime cookâ button first, before you then select your desired time . An unneeded inconvenience. I think the dark interior is a poor decision. Iâd prefer a light interior, like the older version. But in spite of these complaints, the unit works very well, and we look forward to years of use.
