Handsome knife! Almost too sharp!
This knife is super sharp! I wanted to get a sharper knife than what I have now, and at first I was hesitant about getting a potential knock-off, since I know real Damascus blades are in the hundreds of dollars. That said, this thing is so sharp it effortlessly cuts through veggies like a hot knife through butter. It’s so sharp it even wants to embed itself in the cutting board! Enjoying its use so far.

comfortable and super sharp
I did a quick review of knives. I’m at the age where I need to invest some money in kitchen knives. Our friend has Wusthof, which we enjoyed while staying at their vacation home. But they’re terribly expensive. I think this will do until we get to that point where we can invest some money in the kitchen knives.I honestly don’t believe this is Damascus’s process for $50. And it’s not the X50CRMOV15 that Wusthof is made out of.X50CRMOV15:0.5% Carbon: For better hardness as well as the ability to keep wear or corrosion at bay15% Chromium: For great tensile strength, reliable ability to retain an edge, and better power to resist wear as well as corrosion1% Silicon: For boosted strength.1% Manganese: For better hardness as well as brittleness0.8% Molybdenum: For boosted strength as well as machinability (flexibility during manufacturing process)0.20% Vanadium: For better hardenability as well as resistance to wear0.015% Sulfur: For better flexibility during the manufacturing process0.04% Phosphorus: For boosted strengthListen. I’m not running for the Iron Chef here. The AUS-10:X50CrMoV15 vs. AUS10AUS10 wins over the former in terms of edge retention ability. However, X50CrMoV15 is tougher and easier to sharpenThe only thing I have to remind myself is not to drop this knife or try to cut bones, because AUS-10 will chip the knife edge. Other than that, this knife has an ergonomic design (graduation in knife handle to the blade), and it’s full tang with a big-ole bolt in the middle out of three bolts to hold it onto its G-10 handle, which is very ideal. Most of my pocket knives have G-10 handles.Yes, of course, I want the CTS XHP Steel kitchen knife with a G-10 handle, but let’s be real. My tiny pocket knife cost $110, I can’t imagine a kitchen knife costing anything affordable for the average joe. This is a good purchase. Buy it.Edit: I bought one more. The price is too good for this knife. I love using it.

Love this!
Bought this on Black Friday for a great deal. It is sharp and fits well in my hand. Cuts with ease. Love the look of the Damascus tear drop pattern. I would be this again.

Razor sharp and high quality
This is my first ever review of a product; I don’t usually review but I was really impressed by this knife especially for the price.I got it for my new flat top grill because of the price and I didn’t want to use my Wusthof knives on it. I was more than impressed with just how sharp this knife is and how well it holds an edge. I slit one of my fingers cubing an avocado in a half shell. I wasn’t using any pressure and it cut right through the shell with no resistance. After that, I needed to ensure my fingers are nowhere near the blade. The knife is also well balanced.I have been using this knife for everything and my Wusthof has been sitting in the block. On top of functionality, it just looks cool.

Beautiful, but unsure of blade quality
Iâve owned the knife for one week. I absolutely love the weight, feel and balance. Its initial sharpness is as expected. I have used in our commercial setting several times and sharpened on a steel at least three times. The edge of the blade is showing slight jaggedness, which might be somewhat normal for Damascus steel. But if that continues, the long term result will be a less smooth blade. It seems like there are a lot of knives that advertise âDamascus Steelâ but may not actually use that method.

Iâve had the knife for almost two years, and itâs still performing brilliantly. The knife is made with AUS-10 steel, which Iâve found to be a great balance of sharpness, edge retention, and durability. I didnât know much about AUS-10 before buying this, but after almost two years of use, I can say it holds its edge really well and is surprisingly easy to maintain. Itâs also highly resistant to rust, which is a big plus for me since I use it daily. It feels like a quality material without the hefty price tag of some high-end knives (like VG10).I sharpen it with whetstones monthly, and it effortlessly cuts through everything like butter. Despite being made in China, the use of Japanese AUS-10 steel ensures exceptional quality and reliability. To keep it in top condition, I always clean and dry the blade after use and ensure it doesnât bump against other knives in the shelf. With proper care, this knife truly serves like a loyal samurai, ready for any task you throw at it.For the price, this knife is an absolute must-have for anyone who values sharpness, durability, and precision in their kitchen. Highly recommended!
