    Pink Knife
Great little knife. I was unsure when I ordered because of mixed reviews. It was a nice size that fits in my small hands. And the pink color is adorable!

A Very Expensive Toy Knife for “Fake” Cutting
This “knife” should really be characterized as a “toy knife”, because the things it can cut are few and far between.Fruits? Tends to make mush. A cake? Too flimsy, and makes a mess. Your hand? Not even a chance you’ll get cut, because the blade is sort of like a serrated ruler. It’s hard to imagine it cutting anything except maybe Play-Doh, and I’m not certain it could cut that! And if you think its “stylish design” actually adds to “elegance” in your kitchen, then you must have a unique kitchen, perhaps one of those big toy kitchens Santa delivers to kids at Christmas. At $19.95, you literally could go out and purchase ten rulers that would definitely match it for cutting effectiveness.Keep looking. There are SO many good knives on Amazon, at this price and less.

    Safe for children? how?
It is not a normal serrated knife, but it does cut. I ordered this out of curiosity on how can a knife not cut you. Sure, you can hurt yourself if you try, but just sliding it on your hand it does not cut you.

Not a standard knife but works better than I expected
I’ve never seen a knife like this before. It’s a child’s knife because if you rub the blade not TOO hard against your skin, it won’t cut at all – yet I can easily cut apple slices with it, and it probably will work with a tomato, too. So it’s probably OK for older kids to play with. It won’t cut anything with a hard or thick skin like a lemon. I also like that it comes with a little cardboard sleeve – I usually cut sleeves for some of my knives myself from cardboard. I just needed a serrated knife for things like tomatoes and I think this will do the trick. And it’s nice to have something pretty in pink in my silverware drawer.

I should start by saying that this is definitely NOT one of my favorite knives, but it is a niche product whose primary promise is being a safer product, and safer it seems to be, so I will not deduct any stars from my rating.Aside from cutting butter pieces or spreading stuff on something, I generally prefer sharper knives. Their preferred weight, length, size, of course, depends on the task. This one definitely stands out, probably not in a good way for me, as it is long, light, serrated, not sharp, yet it cuts fine. I think it is because it is serrated that it can cut well despite not being sharp. As I rarely cut myself with a knife, this is not my preferred type of knife, but if you have kids (or grown-ups with some physical challenges) in the house, you might like something like this. I used it cutting different things and i did not have any problem with anything. Of course, I did not use it for cutting steak, as I have knives for that, but other regular things from cheese to fruits, it did its job.One thing that I still can’t get used to is its long length. Somehow, I expect a knife of this sort should have been shorter, possibly to work on smaller items. I had several other knives (some sharp, some not, some serrated, again some not) and they all had shorter length. Don’t get me wrong, there is no functional disadvantage to its length, it is just a feeling of expecting a shorter knife if the handle is plastic.Overall, as I said, it is not my favorite knife. But it is good if you need a safer knife for kids or other people with physical challenges.

  10. Let’s Review This

I get that this is supposed to be a safety knife, but it’s a little too safe. The blade is thick and not sharpened in any way, and the serrations are far too rounded to allow the k life to bite into anything when cutting. Bread? No, forget it. Cheese? Sticks to the knife badly, a butter knife works better. Meat? No chance at all. Tomatoes are crushed to oblivion. I’m not sure what this is for.

It’s not very sharp, but they’re very pretty and they’re great for you know what to use as a butter knife so slightly sharper than a butter knife

This is a great knife! I normally only use a serrated knife for bread but they recommended trying it on fruits and vegetable as well. It’s perfect for bread but also produced nicely sliced tomatoes. The knife feels good in your hand, you can get a good grip on the plastic handle and it’s nonslip to prevent accidents from happening. We all have our favourite knife to use in the kitchen and this one just became mine.Good price.

It looks cute. But not overly sharp and really only has certain use cases that it works well on. The object needs to be relatively firm that the sawing action won’t destroy or cause it to squish , but not hard enough that it needs a sharp blade. So fruit like apple, lemons, pears etc, firm tomatoes, some vegetables like lettuce, cabbage more dense bread like sourdough or ciabatta.Softer items will just turn to mush or rip apart. Not enough cutting power for harder items.
