Very heavy duty bread knife, a bit too thick for the job
This bread knife is thicker and heavier than the bread knife I already have with similar size and shape. I have to say that slightly thiner blade actually cut through the bread easier, even with thick crust. Right, it is a bit counter intuitive, I know. But this bread knife takes more effort to slice through the crust and at times feels more sticking to the bread… It is very easy to fall in love with sturdy and heavy mass of nice steel. But my years of using bread knife taught me sometimes less is more. However, this knife is currently marketed with very attractive price tag, and it comes with very fancy boxed packaging. A great gift idea, for sure.
