Very durable and long-lasting containers-great for storing and reheating leftovers.
I bought these during the height of the pandemic because we could not go out to shop. I bought them sight unseen. They are some of the best containers I have ever purchased. They are great for cut veggies and for storing leftovers. You can reheat the food in the microwave, and they are dishwasher safe too. This set is still great shape almost 4 years after I purchased them. They have not cracked or split or melted.I use them every week and would highly recommend them if you are looking for durable kitchen ware. The price hasn’t changed much either. Very economical. Would make a good gift for new couples starting out.

Best storage containers
Durable. Love the tab to reduce pressure and allow easy opening. Great to put in top of dishwasher, but we do wash by hand sometimes. Love how they easily stack in drawer or refrigerator. I bought a dozen 3-cup size. Some are already gone…. Kids took Thanksgiving leftovers. Guess they like them, too!

what i was looking for, good useable sizes no small containers
great purchase. using the (4) 24 oz containers to portion soup. then easy reheat in a microwave since they have vented lids. the set also has the (4) 40 oz containers for extra capacity. i will order another set so i have 8 of each size

My go-to containers, consistent fit
Update July 2023I bought another set. Like anything else, they don’t last forever, but it’s not far from it. I still have a few left in my scrub stack from my first purchase. The impressive part is that over the course of about a dozen years, the lids and containers from all generations fit each other. This is very unusual in the containers market since molds and materials can change over time, yielding different results. The only thing that has changed over time is now there is a flippable steam vent that didn’t exist in the first few iterations. The steam vent has some benefit, though I haven’t even thought about getting rid of those lids that don’t. Pop the corner and microwave away. The place I found this steam vent to be most handy is when packing hot food. The remaining air inside the tub doesn’t heat up and pop the lid. Just vent the cap and put it in the fridge if you don’t have time to let it cool first. So far I’ve lost a few containers, but it’s been due to my abuse of them, not due to any defect or wearing out. One got too close to the stove, I’ve left a few with friends or at my kids’ house and I reheated some oily food in the microwave. 350F oil and plastic don’t do well together.Even in the last case, it didn’t really destroy the container so much as it made it very unsightly and kind of crazes the finish, and there’s just a point where it has to go because you have better ones and you need the space. I now keep three stacks of containers, however. One stack is for everyday life, which is worn and not looking great. The second stack is my stack for breaking in and back up to the first stack when needed like on holidays. The third stack is when I have to take something to a function or take dinner to a sick friend.Watch the prices of these things as it fluctuates wildly. The set I just got was for $19 on Prime Day, which is less than half of what it is now, a week later.******************************I’ve bought these Rubbermaid containers now for about 10 years and they provide excellent service and just don’t wear out easily. They are what Tupperware used to be 25 years ago. All the lids fit tightly and I haven’t had a single one of the vents snap off, which was an initial concern of mine. The great part is that over the course of a decade, the product remains consistent from batch to batch and year to year, meaning that old lids fit with new containers and vice versa. I think they are the only containers I’ve bought that have retained this much compatibility with earlier versions.Nothing lasts forever and I don’t expect these to either, but I have had a few that I’ve had to toss. There are essentially two problems that have caused their demise:1] Frozen with food and being dropped coming out of the freezer due to being brittle. I’ve never had a lid crack, but the clear body has cracked a couple of times. But in all cases, they’ve still been usable for a while and they’ve never split open and cost me my food. I can’t blame the device. It’s my clumsiness and nothing is unbreakable.2] Over time the containers can become a bit glazed looking and stain up, particularly when storing food with high acid or the food was extremely hot. Red tomato sauces and yellow turmeric colors in curry are the worst stainers, though even this coloring still eventually comes out. When storing these foods, I’ve learned to spray the container first with Pam cooking spray and that helps a lot.Despite the loss of a few containers, these will stay my food storage containers of choice and I will stay a Rubbermaid customer.

Love these containers!
So, I needed all new containers and thought I’d try Rubbermaid. I have only two complaints: 1) the lids are a little stiff and snap when you shut them, and they need a little force to do that – plastic is just not flexible. 2) the little black vents on the lids can pop off. I had 4 lids in my dishwasher and found the vents in the bottom of the dishwasher. Not sure why that happened, but I did contact Rubbermaid about the vents and they were very accommodating – said that they would replace the containers. Great customer service. Now, I pop them off before putting them in the dishwasher and put them in a separate basket in there. On the positive, I love that these containers come in two main sizes and that they have a shallow container & one that is deeper. They stack nicely and so do the lids. I plan to buy more later, because they are better than Ziplock (Ziplock changed their lids to a very hard plastic that cracks easily, and I much prefer the vents on the Rubbermaid – great for the microwave).I’m waiting on a response from Rubbermaid to get replacement vents… will let you know what happens.

Perfect sizes!
The two sizes are great for packing lunches. Just what I needed. The containers are sturdy and seal well and have a vent to open up when you reheat in the microwave.

Great for storing and or freezing leftovers
Easy way to save leftovers in frig or freezer for later, lids are very good, air tight, secure. I bought two sets. Just as advertised!

I went on a mission to add to/replace some of my vented Tupperware – only to discover that my beloved 20yr old set is no longer made. There was a new version, but ran to $20 a unit, way to pricey for me. Then I saw these, as an add on for less than $5 and decided to gamble. Best gamble I could have made! I literally gave away every single Tupperware and other container and have gone from three shelves to just one, for storage, and have oodles of well made, super functional containers.LOVE:The vented lids are a game changer. Now InstaPot leftovers go straight into these containers, into the fridge or freezer, and are ready as instant meals. Lids are solidly made, DO NOT leak, and snap on firmly, but not so tight that opening them is a challenge (someone with limited strength in their hands MIGHT have an issue…).The 3, 5 and 7 cup ALL come with the same size vented lid, and actually snap together into a block so there is no longer a lid storage issue, or an issue trying to find the “right” size. Others sizes also have multiple sized containers that have identical lids – the simply increase the height of the container, retaining the same size opening at the top.The containers themselves all stack, with the 3, 5 and 7 cup all happily nesting inside of each other. The same goes for some of the smaller sizes; multiple sizes have the same top and bottom dimensions, and the increased volume comes in the increased height. As the containers are square, the stack and store much more easily, and with less wasted space then round containers. I thought this would be an issue in the microwave, leading to uneven heating, but there is absolutely no issue. They seem very happy washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher, no warping or cleaning issues, and when stood up, in the “bowl rack” they retain no water once washed, like some containers do.Each container has the volume it holds marked on the bottom, super handy.HATE:I almost did not buy these, as I hate the color…there is a lovely teal option available in the US, but I could not bring myself to pay double simply for a different color. The volume markings are super helpful, but awfully tiny…it would be nice if they made these numbers MUCH larger. All in all, these sets have solved my food storage issues, and I could not be happier!

You can’t go wrong with Rubbermaid. I like that the lids fit both sizes.
