It’s still hanging in there four years after purchase
I use this pot at least once every two weeks, and I’m just as pleased now as when I first unpacked it. The pot is substantial without being monstrously heavy and my old arthritic hands appreciate this. The pour spouts and the draining lid are both so handy – no need to break out a colander unless you need your pasta (or whatever) absolutely bone-dry after cooking. There is a tiny bit of pitting at the bottom but that’s my fault for adding salt before letting the water/other liquid come to a boil before adding it. Sometimes I get impatient. Don’t be like me! The pitting is not noticeable unless you’re actually looking for it, and it’s not affected the purpose or usage of the pot, nor has it spread. I can deal with it. Lesson learned. All of the rivets are holding up like champions, the pot sits level on my stove, and there’s been no warping whatsoever. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Love this pan
Very attractive as well as functional. Love the measurements built inside the pan. Cleans up very nicely.

Perfect perfect.
Works very well and perfect for my needs.Only thing that’s a little annoying are the rivets on the inside of the pot… I normally have to pay extra attention washing around them. I hope the manufacturer can figure out a way to eliminate them.

I Think itâs a Defectâ¦
I bought this 2.5qt saucepan from Rorence based on a finely crafted set of mixing bowls I have from them. I had proof they can make a quality item, so I was anxious to receive my new saucepan.Well, mild disappointment came over me when I discovered (despite the quality & feel), that this pan does not sit flat on my glass top stove. It rocks slightly forward and back, inline with the handle. Side to side it does not – seems flat that way, although using a straight edge on the bottom, you can see the center is actually concave as a ridge runs around near the outer perimeter. This ridge settles back down as you reach the outer edge of the base. While I believe this characteristic does not affect its heating performance, it does lend an air of instability to an otherwise well-designed product.I contacted the company through their website (chat & email) and received a response of little value. It appears this âdefectâ is part of the design. After returning the first pan and receiving another made in the same way, thatâs my conclusion, unfortunately. I think a pan should remain flat and stable on a cooktop. Rorence evidently has a different idea in this case.I also chose this pan over the others for its well designed handle. The girth of the (solid – no holes), handle is substantial enough to provide control and the attachment points (2) seem a little thicker than others Iâve seen. All this, yet the handle is lightweight and the overall weight of this pan is light, agile and balanced. The handle is likely aluminum that is highly polished, durable, but not unbreakable. The rivets on both handles appear to be of an appropriate size and are tight. (Which leads me to wonder how other people have had their top handles come off). The top handle is likely the same material as the main handle. It sits tall on the cover, is contoured nicely but also will get warm, even hot if you boil with the cover on.The interior of the pan is not polished, but has a brushed or spun-ground finish, so no need to worry about scratching. The gradient markings do not feel etched into the surface, only printed. Iâll leave it to Rorence and their experience as to how long these markings will last. The pouring spouts on each side are a bit unusual in that looking from below, they have a squared appearance to them, yet they pour as you would hope and expect.Aside from the aforementioned flatness issue, the design of this pan, as well as the fit and finish are all very high quality. I believe the performance is equal to this praise. I love pans like these, that are so capable and fully featured. It is the ideal pan for those one pot meals – usually consisting of boiled pasta (in my case). Itâs a good pan, worthy of your consideration, but forget it if youâre uncompromising in your desire for flatness in your saucepans.**The pan came with an extensive list of doâs and donâts. All good information you can apply to any good cooking pan or pot. They also recommend seasoning this pan with 2 tablespoons of oil prior to using it. I wouldnât have thought of that, especially for a pan Iâm mostly going to use for boiling.

So far… Seems like an excellent value
After 43 years I finally had to toss my old, beloved pot/saucepan. I won’t lie – I fell asleep and burnt it beyond repair (yikes!). Times are tough and I needed a good replacement and an excellent value to replace it. This pot had the specs and some bonus features (built-in strainer and see-through lid) that I craved so I pulled the trigger. So far – so good. The base seems like a normal, thick, clad base and it works as expected. The walls are thin but so far, this hasn’t presented a problem. It seems like a pot that won’t take hard abuse but will fair well under normal use. Surprisingly, the handle stays cool when boiling pasta. And the built-in strainer is a huge time saver!

Perfect for pasta
I purchased this pot to have something to cook larger amounts of pasta. I have plenty of other cookware, but had to use big pots when cooking larger amounts of pasta. It’s more than enough space to cook a whole box of spaghetti or if you’re making 2-3 packs of pasta. I am so impressed with the quality. In one of my images, i’ve got it next to another pot that’s a standard 2 1/2 qt so you can see the difference side by side. I love the fact that there are two different size holes in the lid where the pasta water can be drained. I hold the lid while I’m pouring, but it would probably stay in place if I didn’t. It doesn’t slide around, it’s a very nice fit and the pour spouts were the perfect touch. The stainless steel and finish are very nice quality. They haven’t been discolored or gotten any scratches no matter the material utensils that I use. It really is high end quality and I highly recommend.

Perfect, slightly bigger pot!
Sometimes, my 2 quart pan just isn’t big enough, but the very large stew pot is way too big. I needed a pan to fill that gap. This has worked well for that. I also really, really like that the lid is glass and that it has draining holes in the rim of that lid so that when cooking pasta, I don’t have to get out a colander-I can just hold the lid on the pot and drain out the water. I love it!
