best paring knife available
My paring knives are my most used knives in my kitchen- This knife works great- Sharp and easy to hold. I’ve had many other paring knives that have had wooden or metal handles and this one by far is my favorite. There is no slip when using it (like some that I have had) it cuts great and if it ever needs sharpening it looks like it would be easy to sharpen making this knife one that should last and be around for many years. It fits great in my hand so there’s less chance of me having issues using it. Where some of the knives I’ve had in the past the handles have seemed bulky and hard to hold I do not have that problem with this knife. If there’s a day I find I need a new one I will be coming back to buy another one of these. I highly recommend this product (and I purchased this and wasn’t paid for my review)

Made in the USA and reliable.
The knife is sharp right out of the packaging. After a dish soap bath, I immediately tried it out on ginger root. It went through it very smoothly. The knife feels reliable and looks great! Highly recommend.

Every Rada I buy makes me want another one.
I love Rada knives. Made in USA and inexpensive. This one is my third and the quality is always dead on. Really a great American product. They hold an edge as good as any knife I’ve had. When the tomatoes start winning, I hit the knife with a stone and it perks right back up.I buy the Aluminum handled ones which the company states are not as good for the dishwasher. The reason for that is that the aluminum tarnishes to a dark grey matte finish. The blades are stainless and not affected. I cook from scratch daily and put these knives through the dishwasher every day. I actually like the texture of the handles after they have tarnished and turned grey better than when they are new–better grip. My dishwasher is a Bosch and it routinely melts plastic jars on the top rack and I use a citrus based natural soap–I am not delicate with anything in my kitchen. If you are on the fence about buying the aluminum ones because of the dishwasher don’t be. The aluminum ones have better cradle to cradle characteristics and they feel better with some age and tarnish.Rada knives make me glad my ex got the Henckels in the divorce. They aren’t as heavy as an expensive German knife, but I like them better. I’m a tool guy, I buy German screwdrivers, tweezers, wrenches, etc. and I have no desire to have any knife but Rada. Great American value.

Sharp, but surprisingly small
When ordering this knife, I neglected to note its length. It turns out to be a wee thing, just 6.5″ long, its length equally divided between handle & blade, so if you have an average-size hand, you’ll probably find yourself gripping it daintily, with 3-4 fingertips, like a surgeon. Pick up your average ballpoint pen and grip it as if you were using it like a knife; that should give you some idea of the feeling. I don’t particularly mind the short blade, but the short handle feels, well, short. On the positive side, the blade is indeed super sharp, so thin-slicing, say, a tomato is a delightful experience. And its stainless/aluminum color makes the knife easy to spot in my knife block.

Amazing quality US made knifes
Got a tip from Tim Ferris for this brand, I own multiple knifes from RADA. It’s clean, sharp, easy to sharpen and holds the edge well. Great knifes and great brand!

can be sharpened
super sharp, good weight, and can be sharpened (using a stone, the back of a ceramic cup, etc) when needed, which is great!

Un poco chico de tamaño

One of my favorite knives, sharp and strong. Made the mistake of buying the silver handle one and putting it in the dishwasher (silver EVERYWHERE, totally my fault) – ended up buying the plastic handle one and even though it’s not as pretty it works just as fine. I’ve bought several of these knives and will continue to keep buying from this company!

I was looking for a small paring knife that was decent quality. This blade is pretty sharp out of the box, but I did improve its sharpness with a sharpening stone. The handle is lightweight, so it isn’t as balanced as some more expensive knives. If you’re looking for a fairly sharp, inexpensive paring knife for occasional use, this might just do the trick.
