Very nice knife roll, but it does not expand to fit all of the layers well
I got this not to travel with, but to store a nice set of chef’s knives that I inherited should I ever need to replace the ones I currently use. This roll works really well for that, but if I wanted to add steak or paring knives in the slots for those, there is not enough extra depth, or any gusseting, that allows for that once the slots for large cooking knives are filled.Over all, it will work for what I need because the knives can be easily stored without damage or dulling the blades, and fortunately, I do not need to use the smaller slots.The heavy oiled canvas material is sturdy enough on the exterior of the roll, but it remains to be seen whether the interior fabric will hold up to wear as well.I’m happy with this roll because it allows me to store a set of knives that I want to preserve without worry.

I love waxed canvas! And this knife holder is really cool. It has several features and will actually fold in half depending on how you pack it. While this is really designed for chefs to use for their own kitchen knives, i’m using it for my own knife collection that includes several military style, pocket knives, etc. A nice way to keep them all together.

Beginner Case
I am no longer allowed to buy anything ‘chefy’. Per my daughter…this is far from ‘premium’, it is at best a basic “b” roll for a beginner with a few inexpensive knives. Canvas is okay, but this is too lightweight; you want a truly heavy duty WAXED canvas. Leather is preferred, as is an actual ‘roll’ with buckles. And because the canvas is so lightweight, it won’t be able to handle the weight of more than a half dozen knives at best without damaging the knives.

Sturdy and holds my knives well
This knife roll is as described. The canvas looks a little worn where it was folded in the packaging, but it works really well. I can put my cleaver in the designated spot, the honing rod in its place, and I have a few pairs of chopsticks in the left “utility” spots. It would be nice if it was set so that the blades will fit well if you put them in blade-first, so I’m not worried about cutting myself when trying to get any out, but overall that isn’t a huge issue.

This is a useful case to carry knives to another location. When Iâm cooking at another location, I like to have my own knives because Iâm familiar with using them and I keep my knives sharp. This case would be for a home cook since it doesnât hold more than six knives, which is perfect for me. For the price, this is a great buy.
