Fits My PYREX Bowls Perfectly
I’ve had nesting PYREX mixing bowls with small rims for decades; I’m pretty sure these are the same set I grew up with in the 70’s. When I kept leftovers in them I used plastic wrap. Way too fussy and sloppy and wasteful. I went looking for lids that would fit and was surprised there were bespoke ones specifically for PYREX.And they do fit! The red one is especially welcome as I occasionally like to make a big batch of something and eat it for a week. Easy off, easy on, the lid has made it so much easier to dish out a serving. It does fit snugly, too, but even with my failing hands I can work it off without hassle, just a bit of flex to lever the lid up around the edge until it releases. It leaves the underside of the rim uncovered so I can easily lift the bowl with my fingertips without accidentally pushing the lid up.I am very happy with these even though they are plastic disks rather than the silicone I initially searched for.

Tight Fit!
I had an older set of Pyrex bowls from before they came with lids. I liked the bowls so much I bought another set once they were sold with lids. I was very happy to see you can now buy the lids separately. I now have 2 sets with lids. The new lids fit so tight I can barely get them off, if my husband is here, he removes the lid for me. These are great for storage or keeping food covered while waiting to serve. I bought a set for a friend who loves them as well. The new bowls have an old fashioned blueish greenish tint. The older ones were clear. The smaller bowls are always in use. I use the large bowls for mixing or a large potato salad to take for pot luck or parties. They are quite thick and heavy. They also have a small rim which makes them easier to grip, Iâm sure it is meant to hold the lid on. Very practical!

These extra lids replaced 2 from my set that my dog chewed through after counter-surfing. They are the same color and easy to identify which lid goes to the appropriate bowl. I’ve had a set of pyrex bowls for over 40 years. Always wanted covers for them but they didn’t use to have them. Foil and wrap is messy and costly. Found these and they work great. Don’t think they are leak proof but don’t need that. Now I can store leftovers in glass containers. Very happy with the purchase.
