Smart option for a dumb cup of coffee
My Cuisinart of 5 years died and it sent me looking for a “smart” brew option. I grind my whole beans at night before bed so I can be greeted every morning with a fresh pot when I wake. My last coffee maker had included a timer but only one setting and always took long to change, so I wanted a voice option and flexible timer for weekends and holidays. I have dozens of Alexa controlled, smart devices, so this option made sense—a simple, dumb on/off switch and a smart plug!Of my choices, this was the only one that Amazon advertised “Smart” (with a $9 plug, of course). Good move because I’m very happy with the brewing that can adapt to my schedule and now, Alexa voice control. I don’t need a smart pot, I need a dumb, on/off maker with a smart plug.”Alexa. Turn off coffee pot…”

    Great cheap coffee maker.
I’ve been using a filter cup and filters, really easy to clean up and use, not very convenient to pour hot water into the filter cup every few minutes. Which is why I got this coffee maker. This product arrived on time and in great shape.Item is light and well made (so far no problems). The plastic feels cheap but it works and is cheap so…..Nice removable plastic basket, I use a basket filter that I used for the filter cup, there’s a swivel spout that you move out of the way to remove the filter basket, if you forget to push the spout back over the filter basket then when you close the lid it’s made in a way to push the spout over the coffee grounds. The carafe is glass and plastic. The hot plate works well. All in all it’s even faster than my filter cup and nice and hot just not burning hot so if you want burning hot look elsewhere. It does take about 50% more coffee grounds to make the same amount I would use with the filter cup. I typically drink one large mug which is equivalent to this carafe, I’ve cut down my coffee to 1/2 – 3/4 of this carafe to make up the difference in the coffee usage. For the price the convenience is worth it and now I don’t have to stand over my coffee filing up the filter cup every few minutes. Love it.

    Very good – but!
I use this coffee pot every day – and it works fine. Only problem is that the hinges on the cover broke – and now the cover cannot be attached to the pot. It’s really very annoying.

    Cord is too short
My coffeemaker died so got this one and it does make good coffee but I keep mine in an appliance garage. My kitchen cabinets and counter are stardard size/depth. The cord is so short I can’t pull it out far enough to fully open the lid (which opens front to back as most. I’ll have to resort to using a short extension cord but beware! Also if you are right handed as I am, note you have to hold the carafe in your left hand when filling water as that’s the only way you can read the markings. Poor design IMHO.

    Excellent
The Proctor Silex 10 Cup Coffee Maker works well. Capacity is 40 ounces (10 cups x 4 ounces per each) which is enough for my needs. No bells and whistles, just a simple on/off switch. The coffee comes out hot (measured at 175° F), and it brews a full pot in about seven minutes. The grab a cup feature works well as does the drip free carafe spout. (Note: If you want coffee hotter than 175, you’re looking at a machine that will cost $100 or better. This machine will be fine for most people.)Build quality seems good for the price. After 18 months of use, brewing a pot each day, I cannot complain. The coffee comes out good and hot. I would purchase this machine again.

Encantada con mi cafetera ya la tuve y me duró años, por eso la volví a comprar, y sobre todo porque el filtro de papel es aún mejor que el lavable

If you’re looking for a simple, well designed, compact and inexpensive coffee maker this it it. No timers, grinders, settings or anything else (except for being smart plug compatible, which I don’t use.) Just fill the reservoir, add coffee and turn on. It makes good coffee and fairly quickly. The warming plate stays hot until you turn it off.The cord is about 22” long. It can also be tucked into the back of the machine. The reservoir has no volume markings but if you fill it from the carafe this doesn’t matter. Just about perfect.

My hubby broke my last pot so had to find a new one. Read all the reviews and went with this choice. It’s perfect. Large size. Brews quickly. Easy to clean. Love that the plug is retractable since I don’t leave it plugged in. I don’t see how flavour comes into play. You drink what you put it. I found it only burnt coffee after a few hours with little in the pot. Overall great buy for price. I’d recommend

This was to replace a perfectly functional machine, it’s simply that the pot broke. This machine works well however I believe that it makes the coffee taste different. We did clean it with vinegar and I made a lot of water go though but still.. when I added more coffee ground it tasted better but its a waste. Not sure if it’s the machine
