Nice non-stick pan
Light Carbon Steel Wok by HxankitThis wok is a great choice for those who appreciate easy-to-clean. As a beginner in the wok world, I found it user-friendly and well-suited for making up to four servings. From my understanding, the included instruction manual says it will rust. Some of the listing says rust-proof and some says rust-resistant, which I found confusing. The manual also mentions not to cook vegetables in it, which I believe is not the intended advice. Additionally, it states that the wok does not need to be seasoned, yet there are instructions on how to season it.The wok looks nice and is light for me to handle. The bottom is semi-rounded, I used a wok circle for stability. The lid fits well and does not spin. There are ripples on the side that help food slide off easily. When heated, the bottom shows a light blue hue, suggesting it has been blued. The manual states it is finished with fluororesin, which is similar to Teflon. Based on the manual, I believe this wok is carbon steel, treated with nitriding and then fluororesin. The manual offers use advice, suggesting to warm up by heating on low, then medium, and finally using a high flame. It heats up quickly. The manual also advises not to clean with a white cloth as black particles might come off due to the iron element, although I did not notice this during my use.I would treat this as a non-stick device and heat it just enough to cook your food. Using a lower smoking oil like olive oil can help signal when the temperature is getting too high.Cooking with this wok has been great, as expected. Cleaning it was easy enough. I tested it with a sticky sugar sauce to clean-up, and it worked well. After cooking, I washed it with soap, dried it on the range, and then oiled it.Overall, this is a good wok!

Great balance of value and performance!
This wok is a perfect starter-sized walk. If youâre not cooking for a crowd, you donât need much more capacity than this wok provides for fried rice, stirfry, and all sorts of other uses. After seasoning the wok, I stirfried garlic, onions, peppers, and mushrooms in sesame oil. It worked great! However, as you can see from the video, I have an electric cooktop and woks really do best on gas cooktops. The bottom of the wok isnât perfectly flat so it wobbles a little bit, which I actually think is by design, so no points taken off for that.Overall, a nice balance of performance and value. If youâve been looking for a wok, look no further!

Awesome wok!
This is a very nice carbon steel wok. It came well-packaged with instructions for how to attach the handle properly. The lid is vented to allow for steam cooking as well. I’m used to cooking with stainless steel, so the carbon steel is taking me a bit to get used to. The biggest difference is “proofing” with oil, similar to cast iron. My husband is our stir-fry king, so I’m leaving it to him cook in for me to enjoy. He’s excited to have a such nice a quality wok!

interesting Light Weight Wok
Iâve been wanting to expand my recipe options so I was pleased to see this wok as being available. Iâve heard a great deal about carbon steel cookware so this seemed to be a great opportunity all around.Iâm sorry to sat that the instructions are a bit confusing. Iâm not sure if Iâm supposed to season it or not. Itâs also not completely clear on what I can and canât cook in it. Iâm going to cook what seems logical and go from there. The handle screws on easily, but it seems a bit flimsy. This does have a very small cooking area, but Iâm hopeful. Iâll update this review when Iâve had the opportunity to prepare a couple of dishes in it.

Lightweight
So I have a carbon steel wok. It is slightly bigger than this but it weighs more than this. Does. The weight of it makes it harder to work with. I love that this comes with a lid which also has three vent holes on it. Still working on getting the walk seasoned. Because it is thinner than my wok, It heats faster and smokes better. This is key for infusing smoke flavor into stir-fried foods.
