    Great quality and affordable- but seasoning it properly is important!
    Honestly, I really doubted this product. But I was super wrong. Personally, I would recommend looking up a “how to season a cast iron video”, if you have never had a cast iron before. The product’s directions say that a full seasoning isnt necessary, but I strongly recommend you season the entire thing at a minimum of 3 times. It can be a lengthy process, but for the longevity of the Dutch oven, it’s for sure the right move! I have used it multiple times now for sourdough, which has turned out great. And I have also used it for frying chicken and french fries. I also would suggest you give it a good initial clean when you take it out of the box, with a chainmail or steel wool scrubber BEFORE seasoning. It is not only affordable but actually a good product:)

    Cleanly cast…
    This dutch oven was bought to make bread, and works well for that purpose. Nicely cast so holds moisture released from the dough for a good oven spring. I use it lid down so it’s easier to place the dough in the hot pot.
