High quality gorgeous stoneware
I love this stoneware. After ordering the first set, I ordered two more. The pieces are a little on the heavy side, which is exactly what I wanted because they feel substantial. The glaze finish is glossy and clear, the colors rich and beautiful. If you like table settings that are reminiscent of something on the walls of an art museum, you will love these. In the first set I received, there were two flaws: a cup was obviously missing spots of dark brown color on the outside rim. And a salad plate had a black speck embedded in the glaze, which created a small bump of texture. I called Pfaltzgraff customer service; they asked for pictures of the flaws and pictures of the invoice. These I sent that day and within 24 hours I received an email letting me know that replacements are on the way. I need to add that all three sets arrived unbroken and that I could find no flaws in the other two sets I received. I highly recommend this stoneware.

My favorite Set EVER!
I have had this set for many months now – have moved across the country with it, used it MANY times – and it’s still as beautiful as the day received. The quality is outstanding. The colors are more vibrant in person than in the pictures! I honestly have never been so pleased with a purchase like this. I rarely do reviews but this one definitely warrants all the kudos and praise I can possibly give! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS DINNER SET!

Salad Plate is large and Pretty
I bought individual pieces of this place setting years ago, directly from the Pfaltzgraff warehouse. Both the dinner plate and the salad plate and the pasta bowl had the same design and very pretty. There was no NOT a thick, black background paint on the rim face of the dinner plate back then – this hides some of the beautiful flowers, making the flowers that appear on the center of the plate, look chopped off – the overall plate is not appealing.The cups and bowls are the same as what was offered with the place setting many years (maybe 10 yrs. or so ago), not very attractive, with a single poppy flower on each, with the rest of the bowl and cup “plane jane,” including the inside – I found them unattractive then as well as now. I bought the set from Amazon for the salad plates only, and gave the rest of it to my husband to use in his “man’s den,” 2nd level of the detached garage, wayyy out back of the main house :).

Love it! Nothing else to add really, just glad nothing broke when delivery person dropped the box on the concrete in front of my door. Kudos to the excellent packaging because I was sure something was broken after watching the Amazon delivery person dribble my package like one of the globe trotters lol.

I bought this on sale Amazon AU as when advertised on sale it is cheap if delivered from Amazon AU.When it is shipped from Amazon US the shipping costs are way to highIt is an absolutely beautiful set for a special dinner – not light as Corelle but then it is stoneware so expected and the finish and beauty of the set make up for it. I even picked up placemats to go with it and now on the lookout for matching serving ware but again way too expensive and never on sale. Definitely recommended
