Simple and easy to carry
We got these to put in free food pantryâs in our community. Put an opener in a baggie with printed out instructions. Easier to carry than a regular can opener, and cheap enough in quantity to give away to anyone who needs it. They donât come with instructions (wish they did) but you can find examples online.

The P-51 Camping Can Stainless Steel Can Opener
This is much like the P-38 sea ration can opener that I used in the Army only these are much bigger and material is stainless steel. There are 8 in a pack. This one is called the P-51 camping can opener. Cost is $9. Easy to clean. Pretty sure itâs made in China.

Reliable But Difficult to Use
This P-51 is larger than the P-38 can opener. The P-51 is easier to use than the P-38 unit due to the longer leverage. That being said, its still hard to use for seniors. So why is a senior using it? Because I’m on my fifth different can opener, trying to find one for seniors that is reliable and easy to use. The P-51 is needed to open the spots missed by the commercial grade can openers that I have purchased and eventually failed. The P-51 always works, but is hard to use for seniors or anyone with hand issues.

Excellent for the homeless
I bought these to give out at our foodbank. Huge score for the homeless and actually an item they requested. They all wanted one and the small hole to put it on a key chain or the like- was perfect. Definitely great purchase and quantity for the price.

Does not work correctly
The hook that you put at the bottom of the lip of the can for leverage keeps slipping off, my original opener is more pointy and digs in for good leverage. These would be perfect if corrected.
