Excellent, high quality glass storage container
Bought this as a replacement, when we had a mishap when we moved, and the old one was dropped on the concrete garage floor. This is an excellent quality glass storage container. The lid seals very securely, and the size is perfect for not only food storage, but for cooking a meatloaf! Love all the OXO Good Grips storage containers!

Great product
OXO is a reliable brand and the 8qt glass container is as well. Perfect size for meal prep or regular food storage. Works great in the freezer. Dishwasher safe. All around wonderful to have for a long time.

Better than other brands I’ve tried
I previously used some ello brand containers which didn’t use borosilicate glass but instead had silicone wraps to try and protect the bottoms. Well one of those didn’t last 10 months before the top edge chipped from a short drop and another was destroyed when I was doing meal prep after putting in some hot food from what I assume was too rapid a temperature change.I’ve had this container 15 months now and it’s still going strong. I’ve been using it daily for my meal prep and it takes it all. The glass is strong enough it hasn’t cracked with some minor drops even on hard surfaces. I regularly subject it to either an oven, an air-fryer, or the microwave and it’s withstood them all, even straight from the fridge for reheating. The edges clean much easier than the ello containers I previously used, I used to get little splashes of the contents somehow under the rims during cooking or eating and I’d have to spend a lot of time and effort scrubbing at it, the edges here are cleaner and a simple brush or sponge takes anything that manages to get under the rim on the outside off easily. One tricky thing about these are the lids. Every brand uses plastic, it’s unfortunate but I suppose there is no way to get glass to work and seal right. Never put the lid in any heat source, I wouldn’t even use the microwave as I damaged a pyrex lid one time doing that and the heat plus pressure changes inside the vessel will weaken and warp the lids with repeat use, lids are for storage only or covering after reheating IMO. Instead in the microwave I’d say cover with paper towels or a plate or plastic wrap. In the oven and air-fryer I cover with aluminum foil and that works great.I was leery at first about the plastic closing mechanisms on the lid, worried they’d break with time and stress unlike the ello container’s which had a hinged design where the plastic didn’t really bend but so far the lid seems to hold up fine as I don’t subject it to heat beyond heated up food in a warm/hot container (no direct heat as mentioned as I never put it in the microwave).I’ll continue to prefer buying Oxo kitchen products because they seem better designed than the competition. They cost more up-front but the savings from long-term use more than make up for it.

NEARLY perfect.
What sold me on this was very positive online reviewsANDthe fact that it can be used in freezer AND fridge AND microwave AND conventional oven.(Note: directions warn NOT to put frozen dish into preheated oven, and of course the plastic lid should not be used in a conventional oven.)Easy to clean? Check. I love the way the plastic “gasket” is easy to remove and to wash.Stain resistant? The glass is. The lid…not so much, but also no big deal since the lid was not transparent to begin with. I can see what’s inside when looking at it from the side (i.e. when it’s in the fridge), and I expect the glass container will remain crystal clear as long as it is not severely abused.Water-tight? Check. Online reviews give it top ratings in this department. That big, beefy gasket gives you confidence that it won’t leak. So, what’s not to like?#1 – It’s HOT when removing it from a microwave. Unlike the typical microwave container which has little plastic handles on the sides that do not get hot, this has no handles and so you have to handle it carefully with oven mitts when removing it from the microwave.#2 – Just a quibble, but when it’s hot (the microwave has just finished heating), the lid does NOT want to snap on to the glass container. Let it cool for about 30 seconds [edit: 45 seconds] (with the lid off the container) and the lid will once again snap on OK. Of course, snapping on the lid after microwaving is nice because you’re less likely to spill the contents while moving the container around.UPDATE APR 2022: broke on the first drop, 31 inch drop. (Floor: concrete covered with plastic tile.) Not sure if that’s worth subtracting a star or not, given all of the other great features. It’s been my most frequently-used microwaving dish. Still cleaned easily. Gasket still excellent. Plastic lid and gasket not prone to staining as are typical plastic containers. (I’m not saying that they WON’T stain, I’m saying that they haven’t noticeably stained despite lots and lots of use.)I WILL be buying another.

Freezer to Oven Leak-Proof Food Storage
Very handy food storage container that can be used in the oven. Perfect for left overs that need to be reheated.

Smaller than 64oz
Overall, a great product. I purchased this to make yogurt in my sous vide, hoping for the possibility to make two quarts at a time. I tested the size with a 1qt measuring cup, and it overflowed with water remaining on the second quart (I don’t recall exactly how much…it made quite a water mess on the counter.) It still works great for 1 quart batches, and perhaps for 1.5qt batches, but just be aware it’s not a true 64oz. The 64oz size was one of the key reasons I chose this, but there really weren’t good alternatives anyway since this fits perfectly, outside dimensions, in my rectangular sous vide unit.I ordered 2, and then ordered a 3rd in spite of the size disappointment, since I’ll just rotate smaller batches more often.

Is big and sturdy
Good deal. Good size. I like how the top leaves a bit of extra space when it sits on the container, gives it extra height and can fit larger things

Well made and stands up to a lot of use
Love this for my leftovers. Keeps food airtight. Stands up to a lot of use and still looks like new!

This is my favorite glass food container. It is made out of durable borosilicate glass which can withstand temperature shocks well provided you follow manufacturer’s instructions. It is microwave, freezer and oven safe. The lids fit snugly and the locking mechanism still works well after a year of use. The rubber lining around the perimeter of the lid can be easily removed for cleaning. I find 8 cups capacity is a perfect size: not too big not too small. The containers stack well on top of each other.

El recipiente es muy resistente, su cierre hermético es perfecto. Lo importante es que se puede lavar muy bien precisamente la tapa evita se cree moho. Muy buena opción de recipentes.

Perfect for organizing my food items. Got tired of all the bags of nuts, spices, granola etc. Put everything in these and now I use my stuff more cause I can see it all so clearly through the containers rather then bulky/messy bags. I keep having to reorder as I find I need one more thing organized;)
