For the price you pay, this is a good whisk.
This balloon whisk deserves 5-stars.The problem with many silicon whisks is that the silicon material used to make the whisking wires is too soft, too flexible, and gives too much such that the whisking effectiveness is substantially reduced. This problem is especially prominent when whisking a thicker batter. It’d be like swimming through molasses. This Oxo silicone whisk does not have the same problem — or I should say, the least amount of give (flex) compared to other brands. And it only gives slightly when compared to the Oxo Balloon WIRE whisk made out of stainless steel. Why do you want to get a silicon whisk, you ask? For two primary reasons: 1) safer on your teflon or ceramic coated pots, pans, and dishes. And 2) food sticks to silicon wire slightly less than stainless. For most people #2 reason above is not apparent or perhaps not that important, and people are generally correct. However, if you’d observe side by side (take two balloon whisks one made of stainless and one silicone) and whisk up crepe batter, you will find the batter drip off the silicone whisk ever so faster, quicker, cleaner than the comparison stainless whisk. Won’t make or break the batter or make or break the recipe, but hey, it’s an observable fact and it may be important to some and totally irrelevant to others. As for reason #1 above, yes, you have to own a good silicone whisk if you own teflon or ceramic coated cookware. I think the reason is pretty self explanatory. You just don’t take metal to teflon.Well, like I said, the silicone material used here is pretty sturdy. It is very comparable (in terms of results and whisking power) to the stainless variant. I’d have to whisk a bit stronger to compensate for the softer material but, again, not significantly so that I’d complaint. Whereas the other products on the market I’d say “nahh, tooo soft.. too difficult to whisk up!”This whisk is dishwasher safe. The huzzle is stainless, and the grip is comfortable, nonslip. and smooth.5 Stars given because the product delivered: 1) Function 2) Durability 3) Ease of use and clean 4) Balance of function & elegance and 5) Total, Overall balance of everything mentioned above against the price you pay.For the price you pay, this is a good whisk.

I bought this based on a product review by Americaâs Test Kitchen. Perfect sizes and they wonât scratch nonstick pans. Dishwasher safe, put the balloon end down in the silverware rack. I recommend these whisks.

Works as expected!
I highly recommend the OXO silicone whisks as they work perfectly with my glass Pyrex, All-Clad mixing bowls, and Le Creuset cast iron enameled pots. These whisks are a terrific value and excellent quality. I can’t recommend them enough.

Good whisk
Very good whisk. Comfortable handle. I wish the whisk was a tiny bit stiffer, but that’s my personal preference and not a reflection on the product. I use mine mostly for making scrambled eggs and it works great.

600 degree heat resistant, yea!
I melted a part of my old silicone whisk and so it used for mixing calf replacement milk. Needed a new one and these were given an excellent rating on America’s Test Kitchen. OXO is a brand you can trust. These are a perfect size and can be used with all my pans, bowls, etc without scratching them. The fact that I can actually whisk my gravy from beginning to end with one item is great!

Well made design and construction for a simple tool
I got it to make a roux in my enameled pot without marking it like a metal one would. It’s a bit flimsy at the end of the largest whip, but it is enough to get the job done. It is actually very comfortable to me, unlike the thin metal handles on other whisks i have. I throw it in the dishwasher on the top rack. But the whisks aren’t all bunched up at the end so it doesn’t hold clumps of food. It’s a good design.

These are the best whisks that I have ever owned.

Great size and quality.
This is exactly what I was looking for, not too small or too large. It’s a nice medium size. There are a lot of coated wires which makes it a better quality and that the wires stay in the handle. I’ve had many that start coming apart out of the handle. The comfort of the grip is really nice as well.

Handle separated on the smaller whisk during use. Impossible to be put back together or repaired in any way. Very flexible and soft wires which can be very useful for very fluid mixtures like dressings or eggs, but not useful for anything with viscosity like melted chocolate or pancake batter. Besides, mixing melted chocolate caused the handle to snap from the wires. Very poorly designed coupling between the handle and the whisk below, relying on about 3mm of screw threads and friction fit to withstand all the bending moments during use – apparent that no thought went into the design whatsoever. Presumed that the larger of the pair will eventually have the same breakage. Returned both. Had to give at least one star here which is one too many.
